In the game now and only a short bit of skill training time lost.
Can't wait for that skill training query to get here.

There are alot of us who have been experiencing a completely unstable connection for months now and are getting the feeling you are ignoring our plight.
Instead of waiting for you guys to fix the problem we have pretty much done most of the leg work for you. Please, please please respond to the thread so that we can at least know that you are up-to-date on the issue and are working on it!!!!

Bumping my own post in the hope that mindstar or someone at least can take 2 minutes to take a look at the linked thread and confirm CCP knows this is still an issue for ALOT of players.
Also, cheers for the info tzar, my connection has become more stable over last few days too, but im still getting at least 2-3 d/cs an hour. Pingplotter results have not changed :(

The server will be open at approximately 1300 GMT.

So do you not think that there might be something fundamentally wrong with the whole system when the very diagnostics tools you use to elucidate the problem causes a bunch of problems themselves?

They are patient with your ingame stuff as well, its not like they delete your account after not logging in for a month. Really if you are that worried about the 3 ct's the extended DT costs yuo stop playing.

Yeah, except nowadays the Dev's are actually giving updates here on forums what is happening. Thanks for that Mindstar, and hopefully you'll get server running smoothly again.

In the world of IT, unexpected problems like this happen. The timing of a problem might be bad, but with computers, you can't really control when software crashes, hardware fails, or something chews through a fiber cable (a little known downside of hamster-powered servers).
The game is up, I can still log in, and my skill is still training to level 5. Works for me. -------- Bender: Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeroes everywhere... and I thought I saw a two. Fry: Don't worry, Bender: there's no such thing as two. |

No doubt. I wish I could schedule my server problems at work for while I was on vacation, then some other poor sod would have to fix them

In a well run company with well built systems and good staff, it should be limited. This company seems to have a lot more unforseen issues than most.

In reply: how many companies run the largest server cluster of their kind? These issues probably only occur on servers of this size. --- Sig Starts Here --- Lord Haur - Imperial Academy Logistical Support

Thanks Mindstar, but since the system downtime all I get is the message 'An exception has occured, it has been logged in the log server as exception' I'm not sure if this means it is a problem generated at my end or the server end? Any advice will be appreciated!
Thanks

EDIT- actually they have, now getting 44%+ packet loss and constant d/cs. Before this little server reset it was down to low 30s%
It will be fixed Soon(TM).
Weirdly enough, I only have issues with the client randomly crashing...but that's probably because of some memory leak
While on the topic, what do we actually "ping" to check the routes? Not to say I've had disconnect issues, but it would still be nice ----------------------------------- "What can go wrong, will go wrong." |
