I'm a bit confused where interdictors and heavy interdictors are concerned. Do they have spheres that move with them or do they just use the interdiction launchers to place spheres statically in space?
Sorry for the n00b question to all those "Urghh! You don't know anything, go play WoW" type of flamers.

Both. Interdictors launch interdiction spheres that are static, heavy interdictors project a sphere of interdiction (though they also have a targeted mode). |

Thanks muchly for the clarification.
So, the large interdiction spheres I keep getting stuck in on gate camps are fired from Interdictors? Have I got that correct or is there another form of interdiction spheres that has nothing to do with the ship type?

There is. There's a device you can anchor which also disrupts warp, mobile warp disruption something or other.

The system which I keep getting bubbled in is called E0DR-G in an area called "Great Wildlands".
