'I havnt run many missions because I always supported my alt with my mining character. However, I like the idea of the LP store and gaining faction standings. So I have been running some missions for the Minmitar rebulic and ive been getting a lot of "go kill that amarr guy" ... now, i would like the ability to enter all the other races systems so I dont want to sap my faction standing by running these missions. On the other hand, I dont like turning down missions because I like making money. This problem has only been recent... do I start running missions for another corp to avoid this or keep denying them from the republic fleet (im assuming most agents pull the same kill missions fromt he same pool)? Thanks

Keep working for your desired corporation. If you got a new mission killing Amarr/Caldari just deny.
New ones will be offered. If it happens that another faction-killing mission appears, say NO again unless it has been less than 4 hours from your latest "no". If so , wait or go other station and work for other agent in the mean.

this is very much true, in in some cases they are just the same mission but with different faction as enemy instead, except for the few that are very specialized to one faction.
But anyhow what was already covered is pretty much all you can do. I personally, but you might try this too, have been trying to build up standings with another corp so I can then run level 4s with multiple corps in case one gives me a faction mission or a mission I absolutely hate (I was for awhile banned from Amarr space). ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. If you're just trying to avoid issues with the Amarr Navy, you can train up Diplomacy. (Raises your effective negative standings)
That will only help so much, though. At some point, you'll either have to start declining those particular missions, or just take the hits. If you plan on being able to fly through all Empire space, at no risk, that is.

Spoken like a true... Caldari?
You can decline one mission every four hours (without taking a standings hit, for declining).
If you get a mission that you don't like, decline it. Wait at least a minute before asking for another. (That might just be mystic voodoo, but I've found that if I re-ask too soon... I get the same mission offered again).
If you're set on using Matari agents (for the LP Store), you may even want to consider which division you are running missions for. Not all are kill-missions. _______ Liberating Vegas '09! |

Sad to see that most of the factional kill missions are kinda high paid salary. And thing that makes the standing worthy is the Storyline missions. Which makes one up the other down.
