Caracalusers - Lets keep this topic up in the activelist until one of the dev's decides to click on it..hopefully that will have a ball rolling sooner or later, and also have us enjoy the secondary bonus soon! |

Which is slightly odd now that you mention it, because light missiles have a 25km range, 25 sec flight time, and do 1000m/sec (hence, no acceleration should enter the equation).
Cant believe we overlooked this so long ? /me hits himself.
That means that if they fix this on top of the 10% missile range we'll have an extra few km again :-) |

No clue, I cannot find any reference to this grave issue anywhere - not in the secondary cruiser bonus thread, not in the missile thread, not in the patch review forum.
I mentioned this in all threads above and many more where I am sure a ISD or Dev has replied earlier (and hence expecting him to read responses to his own message).
Unfortunately nothing constructive. I also mentioned this in a specific thread of mine that I know has been read by several devs of ccp, but I dont know to what extent they actually *Read* what I typed.

so as i read it missle ranges has basically been nerfed. prior to patch i could keep npc's at 50k and kill. I have not tried it since patch guess i will have to check

Probably a bug or something, not a nerf.
In speeding up the velocity of missiles they probably also speeded up the missiles lifespan :) hehe

Heavy missiles probably have a coded in range of 45 km, since prior to the speed boost that was the max range.
I like the idea of a missile speed boost so maybe the caracal can hit a MWDing frig, but it needs to also increase missile max range. -------

It's not broken...
If you think about it, the bonus you get increases the burn rate of the fuel on missile, not the amount of fuel that the missile carries. In order to increase the range of a missile by increasing it's burn rate, you'd have to dramatically increase the fuel capacity of the missile, which would make it slower, because it's got more mass in the first place 
Nowhere did they say that they're increasing the range of the missiles, just that they're making them faster. The missiles go faster, and you use less of them.
