The worst movie ever, easy "Riding in cars with boy's". Wife made me go see it and she wanted to leave after 30 mins, so we did. Lack of preparation on your part does not constitute greifing on mine |

Um i've heard thet the second one is indeed crap, but the first one was a grim and disturbing metaphor for the spiral of chaos and uncontrolability (is that a word? ) of society gone amok. It's stark depiction of lost members of society attempting to find some pattern to their imprisonment whereas there is no controller or direction in life and society, as the cube, is out of control, is scary and too close to reality to not be freaky.
Perhaps you didn't get that bit
PS The opening sequence in Cube is a nice piece of grim flick killing --------------------------------------------------------------

The two movies that stick out in my mind as the most atrocious pieces of garbage ever made are Sudden Death and The Guru. I've never felt like I wasted a moment of time in my life until I saw that last one, I was depressed for a week knowing that I will never have that time back.

Edited by: Daemodrad on 16/08/2004 03:51:30 Good God. Are you people all completely insane? I mean most of you are simply slagging off sequels or films genres you don't like anyway. Plain and simple, these are the worst films of all time
CHRISTMAS GOD DAMN DAYTIME SLUMPED IN CHAIR WITH RAGING HANGOVER FILMS ie. Police Academy Smokey and the god damn bandit 2 Cannonball run.
Anything which was released straight to DVD, in an attempt to rip off another film. Anything which comes as ****50 FREE DVD FILMS WITH THIS DVD PLAYER**** And oh yeah before I forget, Starship Troopers 2. I think everyone has mentioned this because the first one was quite good and everyone had high expectations for the second. Its not that bad really, considering what the director had to work with. Now Wing Commander I can agree with.
Now all fall into line and agree. You know you want to

"John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars" probably the single dumbest movie i've ever watched, even dumber than star wars. (flame me, yes, but SW is just dumb.) ------------------- :: finite horizon :: killboard ::

Hmmm some interesting choices here, but have none of you seen titanic? I watched it in installments because 30 mins+ was too much to bear in 1 sitting. The only reason I persevered was so I could say to my missus I had watched all of it. I would rather have my skin peeled off and salt poured all over me than watch that again. ------------------------------ Refiner, Manufacturer, Researcher, Hunter, Adviser, Hauler, anything but miner! |

Anything that could be considered a "romantic comedy" or "teen movie" such as "American Pie" and "Love Actually"
The following flicks are also pretty dire:
Matrix 2&3 Lord of the Rings 1&2&3 Titanic (Well, the ending wasn't too bad.) Charlies Angels The Last Samurai I, Robot Braveheart The fast and the Furious Gothika Daredevil Van Helsing

I'm nineteen so i should be in the prime demographic for American Pie or those romantic/teen comedy's (that always seem to star someone from the cast of Friends.)
The thing is, most American humor just is banal and unfunny.. someone ******* an apple pie might have you in stitches, it leaves me cold. :|
Take Hugh Grant for instance. He's been playing the same role since he started acting; a stumbling, shy English public schoolboy in his mid thirties who can't get laid.Ofcourse modern day feminists love this, as metrosexual shy stuttering types are sooooo cute!
