Trianna Holepuncher	Posted - 2009.03.05 20:41:00 - [1] My dream Raven/CNR/Golem is equipped with the following: CNR 7x CN Cruise Launchers CN XL SB, Brynn's Modified Heavy Cap Injector, Pith B-type Shield Boost Amp, Target Painter II , 2x CN Hardeners 3x CN BCUs, PDU II, DC II 2x Shield Extender Rigs, Missile ROF Rig Haven't lost it yet, great for blitzing missions. Cap injector for when I do something stupid. So what's your dream setup?

And to the comment about cruise missiles, they work just fine if you know how to use them. I do agree though, the OP's setup is horrible. Much better ways to spend your money to make a usable mission boat that will run them faster. Then again, if he wants to dream about it who am I to stop him.

Not sure how I could get much faster out of this, like I said, I blitz missions with it. Tank long enough to kill/loot the target and get out. Does over 500 dps, too. If you want to suggest improvements please do.
Mistress Nyissa British Munitions and Industry	Posted - 2009.03.05 21:34:00 - [9] The target painter has a 10 second cycle, I prefer using rigs to overcome the sig radius problem. Less effort and no waiting. Also frees up a midslot for tank so you can use cheaper modules to achieve the same effect. Each to their own though, and unless your skills are coming up short I wager 500 is on the lowside. I use the same number/type of launchers/bcu's currently and get 620dps before drones. Unless your painter skills are high too my dps applies to smaller ships better too (got to love insta-popping cruisers).

It's not worth 800-900 mil extra for 90% of EVE players but for those 10% who can afford the fittings to do most LV4s in about 30 mins, being able to tractor in the BS wrecks and salvage them on the spot is a HUGE bonus to income because warping the salvaging destroyer in is too low on the isk/hr spectrum compared to LP+Bounties+rewards. The multi-billion ISK Golem fittings are for THOSE people; the ones who will happily drop a billion per gun for 5% better DPS and the officer fittings needed to permatank their active shield setup. It's not the ship for your average EVE player who is happy to fit T2.

I'd drop the painter, run a smaller booster, or 2 small boosters to save on cap and put 2 or 3 rigor rigs on there. A CNR can fit 2 T1 and 1 T2 rigor which I understand gives nearly 100% damage translation onto cruisers. And no, just straight up T1 ammo with good skills (almost every relevant missile skill to level 5, warhead upgrades and missile projection left to go, both at 4).

It's sort of like one of those noob Raven setups where you see the guy mounting an armor repper, a shield booster and a hull repper all on the same ship. This guy is instead making some sort of hybrid between a PVP drake and a mission Raven, which is just dumb. Point being, he's buffing () his hp buffer on a mission ship, and for no good reason. You don't need buffer for missions. You need sustained sustained/burst tank. Put some real rigs on the golem, take off the LSEII's and put on some more hardeners, and then you have a decent setup. Of course, it's a cookie cutter setup, but nothing wrong with that.
