you need a scanning alt or corp mate, but this is loads of fun. with an hg slave set this can almost peak 300k ehp

138k tank. 560dps with cheap 5% MH-805 implant. Cap stable with 200's but use 400's if neuting is involved. The MWD is debatable - it's only useful for burning in after decloaking & pointing at range. Otherwise, I use a C-Type AB.
Best way to snag an aligned eg. Tengu is to bump/decloak by proximity which can ruin the target's alignment and give you the extra few seconds you need to recalibrate and lock. Doing this in the last wave of an anomaly will get you Sleeper aggro but they do and will switch back to your target. Tengus are difficult to kill - especially the over-tanked non-prop mod type. But it's doable if you drop two turrets for two med neuts. You drop to about 340dps, but once you've broken the cap tank the Tengu has a pretty low ehp (usually around 35-45k) so he'll still die in a couple of minutes. The box said "Requires Windows-á2000 or better", so I installed Linux. |

It is common knowledge that actually using the bomb launcher isn't the best way to PVP with a stealth bomber, still I get the biggest thrill in taking out salvagers and PI haulers right out from under their escorts with bombs. If done properly it works and is very amusing.
The right tool for the right job. Sometimes you dont need it, sometimes its critical.
my favs...
1. nemesis 2. tengu full covert for c1/2 3. cheetah for scouting.

i love my new cloaky proteus. it can cloak, has a 340k EHP and a 54km point. if it tells you to stay there, you stay there.
it doesnt do any damage what so ever, but its not ment too anyway. with a point stretching over 70 km and 450k ehp when the booster enters the field it can tackle stuff in full sleeper sites and with full aggro survive long enough for the fleet to arrive :) |

Are solo cloaked stuff actually effective for something bigger than a cruiser/hauler? |

Kalel Nimrott wrote:Are solo cloaked stuff actually effective for something bigger than a cruiser/hauler? Yes and no. You'll be able to tip over failfits (and probably kill Tier3s as well in a cloaky Strategic Cruiser due to their squishiness), but a properly fit and flown Tier2 BC or empire faction cruiser should be able to take a solo cloaky of just about any flavor out, with the exception of perhaps a Pilgrim because of its neuting firepower and TD-reinforced speed/sig tanking ability. HACs and non-cloaky T3s are also best avoided unless you're sure they're say in a ratting fit that's killable due to neuting or suchnot.
Battleships might be a more interesting case, though, mainly due to poor large-weapon damage application, leaving the door open for speed/sig tanking especially if they aren't fitting any webs or painters. |

considering a cloaky proteus can do more then 600 dps, or just shy of 500 if it can also probe id say it should be able to break most stuff that flies in low class. with some help from sleepers thinks tend to break fast. |

Been practicing and learning through brawling with several fellow spacers in different ships. Been mainly to-hull stuff, so we don't go broke blowing each other out of the sky, but that also has been letting us use our more expensive ships to get a feel for everything. Out of all of them so far, that damnable Pilgrim (and the Curse as well, but the Curse cant sneak up on you) scares the bejesus out of me. Any thing I fly other than a missile boat and it tends to tear me down... fast. Consistently. I have decided I am going to have to line myself up a batch of these and max out my skills for them. |
