Hiya guys,
I'm trying to compile up what parts of EVE's history and fiction needs more elaboration, or details on.
Bearing in mind not everything may have been revealed due to the main story line, could you please reply to this post with any points you feel require further information, including any contradictions between publicised fiction.
This isn't a promise that we'll reveal the information, but you never know ;)

Ive noticed there is no fiction about the developement and design of ships (how the races' ships all have different characteristics and why, for example why did gallente focus on drones, and Amarr on lasers?) or come to think of it, the factories and how they work :)
The fiction is fun though, just more of it would be nice. ----- [22:02] <Kurenin> anyhow, on a more serious note, what did you think of those ideas? [22:02] <Hammerhead> we can't do anything that requires programming
Inactivity wins you. |

Edited by: Celebon on 12/08/2004 22:34:26 ( Sounds nice.
Personally, i'd love more info on the time when the fledgling Caldari proto-State and Gallente Federation were started to reach loggerheads. The time of increasing tensions and the creation of the colonies. Perhaps naming afew of the early systems colonised and on. Even better, some more from the actual war itself, like the battle of Iyen-Oursta. )

why did gallente focus on drones
To cut that article short, the caldari had more people fighting than the gallente, so the caldari concentrated on fighter craft, which the Gallenteans had trouble combatting, so they developed intelligent mines, as they got more and more sophisticated, they ended up as drones, and allowed the large gallentean ships to take out the small caldari fighters.
Read the Chronicles, they offer great pool of information about eve. As far as some of the ships, many of their descriptions gives a brief history of their existance. -------------- Mystic Senior Event Producer Aurora - ISD

Amarr-Jove war.
It's only mentioned briefly in one of the chronicles.

I'd like to see some more focus on the various pirate factions out there, and how they came to be at the point that they are now at.
I.e. how did 2 caldari navy pilots go out and build one of the scariest pirate fleet's in existance?
What technologies did the Angel Cartel recover from the Jovians?
and so on.
Just some more back history would be nice

One addition that I think is needed is the resulting fates of the Amarrian Hiers that lost out to Doriam Kor-Azor, in Particular for me, I am currious to know if Idonis Ardishapur is Dead! I realize that the Losing Hiers were to Commit the Ritual Suicide, but.... Did They? Khanid's Previous Hier Did not, have any Followed his lead?
Much as it would Please me to learn that he is Dead, I still need to Know of his Fate!
[OOC]-This could also be fuel for furthering some aspects of the Amarrian Story Line.[/OOC]

I couldn't agree more. BArely says anything about it, and since it's between the greatest race of all ( ) And the most mystical, technological, and developed race that has really cool ships, it really needs more info

I would like to see some history on the early part of races, before they left their planets, an inlook into how the culture's developed would be nice.
I would also like some info on what Omnya is... i found some ruins in Hedion with the word "omnya" written on them and was curious. I cant seem to submit screenshots at the moment so i might try to add a link there later.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

Edited by: Asharee Intrefer on 14/08/2004 17:46:42 Something that may not be very important, but I've sometimes wondered about, is how large the population of space is. We know how many players there are, but how large is the "npc population"? Something like a census report telling about how many live in the empires and other factions, and maybe even some details on the population of the prime systems and so on.

Personally, I'd like to see a bit of history on some of the minor races. I'm sure you've noticed the Intaki debate which has grown, but there is a lack of fiction one way or the other. Maybe some Intaki history ie maybe something about how someone becomes 'reborn', or perhaps a bit of background on the Ni-Kunni or the upcoming 'new' races and why we haven't seen them till now.
My penny's worth.

I can answer your question regarding Idonis Ardishapur. The great Idonis Ardishapur who annihilated your tribe committed Shathol'Syn. http://myeve.eve-online.com/news.asp?nid=230&ntype=eve More information about the previous Heirs which is no more available on eve-online.com you can find here: www.amarr.net.
Khanid II, my beloved King who refused suicide when Heideran became Emperor, is still alive.

why do the amarr empire make use of slaves ? are they so big, that without slave's the empire would fall in ruins ? ro do they just want to be bullies ? or do they want the minmatar girl's for themself ?
(in my oppinion, taking slaves is a sign of weakness)

Here we go;
- Amarrian Religion; how different Heirs use/interact with it. - Minmatar; How they cope with the loss of their cultural heritidge, and how new technologies and the like interact with old beliefs - Caldari; More information on how they think. I, for one, do not believe for an instant that Caldari care about Caldari Prime. What also needs more fleshing out is the interaction between State and Individual - Gallente; Just how sleazy are they? I understand that Gallente pretty much run the gamut of different lifestyles, but how do these express themselves? - Jove; haha, just had to include them.
Also, there are many, many many different worlds (inhabitable or not) and stations and presumably lots of colonies with each different customs. I'd love to have details on how the different factions and cultures interact with the greater heirarchy of the Empires themselves and thus have omore of a variation in roleplaying opportunities (coz frankly, it's pants now, one look at the IS proves that).
