Yep. The system will be announced tomorrow, but for the public's information it will be in Pure Blind.
You are responsible for your own safety in this region, however, I advise you that it is not *that* dangerous if you use the proper precautions.
I am willing to help anyone who feels nervous about travel in this sector, and will be online and standing by to provide aid in this regard tomorrow. -------

This just in....
The generous sponsorship of DUI Racing, has boosted our net prize pool to the value of 70 mil isk.
How the prize pool will be divided amongst the events is a work in progress, but that and the final system name will be made public tomorrow by noon.
Stay tuned for the latest! -------

Interested in several classes of the event, but have a few questions.
Interceptor/Cruiser
ECM is allowed? Cruisers fight 1v1 against interceptors?
Thanks

ECM is allowed. I don't think that EW will be too prevelant, but the winning pilots will have to account for the possibility and correctly create a versatile and powerful setup.
And yes, cruisers will fight 1v1 vs inty pilots.
Interceptor pilots may be at the disadvantage, or may be at an advantage here....it's ultimately in the hands of the pilots and I firmly believe this is a fair contest, with all cruisers, interceptors, EW ships, and pure gunboats standing a chance of taking the title.
Remember one thing, from way up at the top : No warp scrambling allowed....this frees up a mid slot from many popular pvp setups, allowing pilots more creativity, and also should reduce the casualty rating for those pilots who can identify a losing battle and retreat while there's still time.
This contest is free to enter, so have fun everyone!

Ok so how do we sign up? Find out where it is?
Although I am not going to tell you how to set your rules, the chances of any interceptor beating say a web/speed Rupture, BB, thorax, etc... is 0%.
Interceptors are great for a cruiser not setup properly but any cruiser can own an interceptor.
How about drones? Are they allowed?
Thanks and sign me up.

Just be aware the tournament is in Pureblind region, specific system will be announced 6 hours prior to the first event start.
The purpose of registration is to give me an idea how many people will show up. However, we will accept players who arrive up till the actual start time of each event.
As for a properly fitted cruiser owning interceptors, in most cases that's true. However, I chose to open the event to interceptor pilots. Those who are up for the challenge will be free to prove they can handle it.

A fair amount of replacement ammo (3000 m3 of cruiser and frigate projectile, and hybrid ammo, and a spattering of missiles) is available at the event site. Don't be too troubled if your frig or cruiser runs short on ammo, it's likely I have sufficient ammo to replace yours, free of charge!

How about spectating? Is everyone allowed to sit outside that 100 km radius to watch the fun?

Players will be allowed to sit and watch, so long as they aren't interfering and are a long way away. This depends on the lag conditions, if it starts making the fighting difficult we'll limit the spectators. -------

I'd also like to thank Silver Night from Intergalactic Combined Technologies for generously sponsoring this event by providing a free cruiser.
Without the friends who have sponsored this, such an event would never have been as possible.
Thanks everyone!

Well, the first event is over. Frig FFA was in a rather low attendance, but we played it out anyway.
Wonk was the victor, defeating 2 enemies to claim the 3 mil prize. Congrats!
Next up : Jr. Frig Championship
