Gladiator Wars is a Non Profit Event hosted for those people who love fighting.
We will be hosting a frigate and cruiser/interceptor divsion, with a 1v1 championship, a 3v3 team championship, and a massive free for all last man standing championship.
Prizes will be provided, courtesy of myself and other sponsors we may acquire.
System where the Event will be located is currently classified.
Rules of Engagement :
Rule Number 1 : No Podding
Rule Number 2 : No warp scrambling
Rule Number 3 : If you warp you lose
Rule Number 4 : If you leave the system in between fights you are disqualified
Rule Number 5 : If the loser didnt warp out in time the winner takes the loot.
Those are our simple rules for who wins or loses. As far as loadout is concerned, you are free to equip yourself in almost whatever fashion you choose, exceptions are detailed below. In the event that a 1v1 fight is inconclusive (neither pilot can destroy the other, and neither one warps out), it is judged a loss for both pilots, please take this into consideration when building your setup. A secure can will be placed at a central point around which fighting will take place. Movement beyond 100 km from this can is grounds for a loss, although a warning may be issued depending on the circumstances. You can make whatever bookmark you choose to warp to inside the combat arena, but once you warp in that's where you fight from.
Illegal Loadouts :
Cloaking is illegal.
Use of cruisers or frigates with Missiles that are beyond their class is grounds for disqualification.
Changing setup between fights is illegal. Changing setups between events is fine, and encouraged.
Registration :
Register your team or attendance today! Please register for any events you want to attend, if we can't rally up enough interest your event is subject to cancellation! And nobody wants that.
Event Schedule :
Friday
Event 1 : Frig Free for ALl
The frigate free for all will kick off our party on Friday, the 20th at 1800 Eve time. Prizes TBA, and prizes will be awarded to the last ship standing.
Event 2 : Jr Frigate 1v1
This is the big one for any new, or just plain poor players. The coveted title of Jr. Frig Champion could be yours! Jr Champion is the best rated 1v1 frig pilot with under 4 months since creation. Will be held at 2000. Remember to pack a second frigate in case you got your first one blown up earlier  Top three pilots earn a prize.
Event 3 : Frigate Team Championship
Get 2 of your buddies together and sign up for this event. Tactics and strategies of a 3v3 frig fight seem very interesting, so you should be in for a nice suprise. Top 2 teams earn a prize. If a pilot on a team loses his ship, that pilot's team must enter the next round a man down! Warping out to save your ship might be the best choice, but it does remove you from the current fight.
Event Starts at 2200.
Saturday
Event 4 : Cruiser/Interceptor Chaos free for all
This promises to be our most destructive and most interesting event yet. Only the last cruiser or interceptor standing gets the prize. Remember that insurance folks! Starts at 1800 Eve time.
Event 5 : Frigate Ultimate Champion
Now the big boys can get in their tiny ships and duke it out. Anyone is welcome to enter but only the best Frig Pilot will win the prize, and the pride. Event starts at 2000.
Event 6 : Jr Cruiser Championship
Those brave and hardy new pilots confident enough to take those shiny cruisers into 1v1 PvP combat deserve a special place of honot. Test your potential against your peers in the Jr Cruiser Championship. Top 3 pilots with under 6 months experience recieve a prize. Starts at 2200. Interceptors are not eligible in this contest.
Sunday
Event 7 : Team Cruiser Champions
These battles will test every inch of your abilities. A 3v3 Team Cruiser marathon. Remember, as with the 3v3 Frigate battle, if you lose 1 of your team but still win the match, you enter the next fight with only your surviving ships. Some tough choices lay on the Path to being the Best Cruiser Team. Top 2 Teams are awarded a prize. 1 Pilot from each team may choose to pilot an interceptor.
Starting time is 1800.
Event 8 : Cruiser/Interceptor Ultimate Champion
Defeat all comers in a 1v1 skill test, to become the Ultimate Cruiser/Interceptor pilot (bit of an awkard title, I know). Top 3 pilots are awarded prizes. Starts at 2000.

A few more details.
Noob ships (Ibis, Velator, etc.)
are not allowed. Even the newest and poorest player should be able to break themeselves and get a 20k Condor or the like.
Free for all Loot.
Well the last man standing in these free for alls, seems likely to score some major loot. Be aware though, that if it takes you an unreasonable amount of time to pick up the loot, other players will be cleared to come 'clean' up the fighting area. We don't have all day ya know.
Well, that said I hope to see you there.

A few more details.

To anyone out there who's been trying to contact me - My home internet is down till Monday, this is me loggin in from work. Need to buy a new cable from my wall to the cable modem.
Anyhow, we've had some positive responses so far and I'm sure when I'm able to log into the game I'll have a few more Evemails waiting for me.

To give you an idea where we are with prizes and sponsorship I think we have about 40 mil isk and a offer to donate a cruiser of choice prize reward, along with some named equipment and frigate prize rewards. I'm also thinking of building a crow free as a prize for someone.
However, we are need of some additional sponsorship, as I'd like to see our prize rewards value total top 100 mil. If you are inclined towards generosity in this, please message me with your offers. I'll be in touch with you on Monday.

No plans for a Industrial 1v1 or 3v3 tournament at this time.

i agree with wonk you probably should do that, and i was wondering if webifiers are allowed, and are we allowed to use a 10mn afterburner on our frigs, i ask because you said we cant toss a heavy missle launcher onto a frig, and the fighting will be at where? i take it you still got no internet
