So I exit the station at Jita to take my Retriever back out to High-Sec before I start surveying around. Jita is .9 sec right? Should be fine. Nope. Exploded and got pod killed. 10mil is nothing, but I still find it annoying. Congratulations CCP, you lost my potential subscription.

Congratulations on not even doing cursory research, checking Local or anything remotely resembling intel for a game you're coming back to after 4 years. You'll fit in perfectly in High-Sec mining ... So you know - The Goonswarm Federation is burning Jita from the 28th of April. Anything that undocks will be destroyed. Some of them are probably a bit inebriated and getting the party started a bit earlier, but yeah. Not a good time to come back and undock in Jita in a Retriever! EVE Ambulation and Avatars as a separate game - see here

I haven't been there for over a year and only 2 or 3 times ever. It's a shithole at the best of times. Second mistake. You were blissfully unaware of current activities centred on Jita. Third mistake. You didn't take basic precautions like having an instawarp bookmark for undocking. You can quit if you like, but this game is all about taking personal responsibility. Unlike the real world, there is no mummy or government or welfare system to protect you from yourself in Eve. Never make eye contact with someone while eating a banana.
