CCP Condones Sexual Predators?

But all in all, it's still stupid. This is probably one of the more vile things I've seen. And if I was you, I'd keep reporting it for harrassment. BUT CCP has never gone out of their way to stop players from getting in your head. They no more condone sexual predators than they condone murderers and spouse abusers. The key effect, here, is SAYING does not equal DOING. Just because this player is a moron, and has no sense of taste, doesn't make him a sexual predator. Yes, it's VERY personal. But that doesnt' make the threat real or the player a predator. He's just an ss. And he's just a slightly bigger *ss than someone who threatens to come to your house and bust your teeth in.

You're dropping personal pictures to anonymous people you don't know. Then you're willing to threaten people who you have no idea about. Seems like the problems on your end, bro. While you're right, much of that applies to real life. It's actually legal to insult someone in real life ... it's illegal to start hitting or threatening people who insult you. The mindset is clear: Words don't REALLY hurt. They can be ignored, etc. Violence, on the other hand, is an entirely different level of crime. Would I do something highly illegal to someone who made nasty remarks about my kid in real life? Hahahah ... you bet. Course, I'm well aware I'd go to jail, so it pays to make sure you know where you stand. That being said, it pays to keep you're video game life separate from real life. Giving anonymous people information about yourself is actually a very, very bad idea. SPECIFICALLY if you're the type of person who randomly threatens to 'come to your home' over those video games.

The guy is no more a 'sexual predator' than Rells is a 'violent offender'. It's ACTIONS, not talk, which should be judged by rules and laws. As much as I dislike it myself, there isn't and shouldn't be anything illegal about what someone says. It's when they act ... that's when it becomes real. The middle ground is someone actually PLANNING the action ... building maps, planning conspiracy. Otherwise, talk is talk.
