hey hey
WTF and i mean holy wtf batman
found a wormhole, jumped in (must remember to bm the exit) open ship scanner, found core stronghold. Warped to, died.
this was only a frigate and cruiser sire and those evil eveil evil ortho towers completely toasted the cheetah. they were at 70-80km range and i didnt even cause agro.
are they just waaay to powerfull ? I also tried a claymore previously and tanked it with high resists but even before i could align the ship was dead. has anyone else come accross theese towers yet ?
im gonna throw more ships at them but they really really hit hard.

Welcome to the W-Space fellow traveler who didn't read the sign. Wormholes are DANGEROUS, do not go ALONE.

yep i totally understand that.
but first ship into the plex is toast :/
also its just a frigate and cruiser spawn which even by themselves are pretty dangerous. the towers are insane. the claymore had 80%+ resists and didnt even last a minute. Im gonan keet throwing stuff at them but i suspect anything smaller than a BS isnt going to survive and those frigates will eat it. i have problems understanding the balance of taking a sledgehamer to crack an egg. is a touch overkill tbh.
ive played in other sleeper site and managed to tank the BS'a and fight for a limited time. their tactics are decent and i fully support the AI but raw insanly high resist proof DPS ? that i have trouble with. if i took a scimitar and they switched to the scimitar even for a split second you can scratch that scimitar. do i really need a carrier to kill a frigate ?
sleeper tactics and ship fine but those ortho towers are

I have come across this. I was able to tank it a bit, and warp in an out. I recommend that you kill the towers before triggering the next spawn. ________________________

didnt even get into range :) i also tried the warp to bm warp out then rewarp to range and i didnt even break the 1st tower shield before i popped.
it could just be that the claymore resists need to be 90%+ and not enough EHP but certainly initially thoughts are that the towers themselves are fubar.
im happy if its just me with crap skills and setups but thats doubtfull :)

Towers are deadly as hell, but have poor'ish tracking.
They shredded a high resist/buffer Phantasm of mine in a minute, mostly thanks to the annoying frigs keeping me webbed .. On that note, a dual-rep Paladin can run a Stronghold on its own - so not thatbad
Sleeper ships on their own are not a big issue, it's when they combine their abilities that they melt your face.

Yeah they are a bit tough (250-700+ per shot). Ran a similar site (Core Garrison) in a Drake and then a Myrm. Each lasted about 2-3 minutes. I think the webbing is the biggest issue. Not alot of damage mitigation when you are traveling at 15m/s. So the missiles and sentries hit a bit harder than they would if you were at speed.

Also, if it was a capital-sized wormhole, well, yeah.

I think core indicates a dangerous unknown W-Space system.
The order in terms of ease appears to be: Unknown Dangerous Unknown Deadly Unknown.
