From the download issue's thread but thought that it would be handy here because that thread is way fast filling up.

Oh yes, lol, I had that on sisi the other day. Manually patched it by any chance?
Try clearing your cache and delete the downloaded patch exe manually and then retry.
Nope, I patched using auto-patcher. So it looks like i have an infinite loop going on... I'll try your tip and report back.
Report back:
I've deleted these two files (actually moved them to a different location): C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\cache\ and here I did a search for 'exe'. In Vista be sure to enable searching system files: Search for 'exe'in this location, it won't show any results, then click advanced Search, and check 'Include non-indexed blah blah and system files'. The you will find the (in my case 2) file(s) you need to move.
Now start eve again and it will show this:
Which is slightly different, but its now the right one.

So my post survived the locking frenzy :) Thanks CCP!
Can you maybe add some glue so it wont get snowed under of locked threads, and still help people in about half-hour?

Suffered same problem with Classic client...
Uninstalled it, downloaded full install, installed it and it seems now it works.
Hope this helps ;)
