I'm running "EVE Online Update 75883->83913 Setup" and when I try to start the download I receive the following message: "Temporary error downloading the required files"

Have you checked how much free disk space you have? I had the error then discovered I only had 1.3 GB free. Deleted some stuff and the download worked OK.

There is a "Retry" button. Click on it everytime when the message box appears - for the next 5 hours... (YEAH, the AUTORETRY option is MISSING ...)

I have 136GB free so no, that's not the problem. I can't really sit here at work all afternoon mashing the retry button, was hoping to upgrade during lunch time... I guess I'll grab the Torrent tonight and burn it to a DVD...

The autopatcher stops with the sa,e error after Downloading 1GB.
I start it again, it resumes at 1GB, but crashes again after some minutes, and this time I have to start downloading from 0kB again.
So I try downloading the full version manually, which works...but when I run it, it crashes with an CRC error.
I download a second full version from another link and it crashes with an CRC error.
Sometimes I'm wondering why I insist on paying mmorpg companies to be a beta tester (in this case for a patcher...).

Keep in mind you need enough space on your primary partition (where vista or w/e is installed). I had the same error and only checked for space on the drive i wanted to install on - didn't work.
When i deleted things from c:\ the patcher worked fine.
Other then that some people say it worked after a lot of retries. --

Even though I had tons of space on the drive with eve on it, I didn't have enough of the drive with my OS. For whatever reason, eve insisted that the patch be downloaded to my desktop, not the eve folder on the drive with tons of space.
I had the same problem you guys are describing and deleting stuff off the OS drive fixed the problem, its XP.

But why would they force the temp in my system partition? The reason people put their OS on a different partition is to NOT clutter it with this kind of stuff...

Everything is on the same partition for me so that's not the problem either.
