piratezxp Caldari Gene Works Initiative Associates	Posted - 2009.03.10 19:37:00 - [1] Right, so lets make this more clear Here is the MANUAL patching process for you guys who are all either: * Having SLOW speeds from CCP's 1 server... * Having issues with versions Please make sure you follow the steps PROPERLY Step One (75883->83193) a) Download these two files to the SAME PLACE: http://www.alienxservers.co.uk/eveonline/patches/75883-83913/evepremiumpatch75883-83913.exe http://www.alienxservers.co.uk/eveonline/patches/75883-83913/EVEPREMIUM.5.20.75883-6.10.83913.RTP b) Once both files have been downloaded, Run the EXE - the EXE should pickup the RTP file and patch Step Two (83193->84244) a) Download the following two files to the SAME PLACE: http://www.alienxservers.co.uk/eveonline/patches/83913-84244/evepremiumpatch83913-84244.exe http://www.alienxservers.co.uk/eveonline/patches/83913-84244/EVEPREMIUM.6.10.83913-6.10.84244.RTP b) Once both files have been downloaded, Run the EXE - the EXE should pickup the RTP file and patch NOW PLAY THE DAMN GAME W00T! Rent a bomb shelter somewhere and make do with powdered egg and the trading card game. We could rig an alarm on the wall with a button at CCP. Patch fails/deletes windows/moves my poxy selected obejct window again (casuing me to hulk out)/ they can break the glass cover and call 'the community' into action. Go community! Yay for things.

I'm one of those who had the old classic client, but I was only getting 15-25kB/sec or so from any of the different ways I tried to update officially. What I've done is use your links to download the premium update files (yay 350kB/sec), and I'm currently downloading the Classic to Premium patch for the version we were all using until yesterday. The best source for it I've found is letting me have it at around 100kB/sec - would you like me to somehow get it to you afterwards if you're interested in hosting it faster for others in the unupgraded Classic pleasure hub? Anyway, great job!

a newbie	Posted - 2009.03.11 04:11:00 - [63] Hey piratezxp, I actually only have a 20/20 MB connection but should be upgrading to possible few a few 100 lines maybe in a month or two. Message me in game sometime so another issue like this happens we can compile a much larger list of download mirrors, I am based in the East Coast US. Thanks for the mirror anyhow, downloading now. Nothing like installing the "latest" client to have it tell you it's incompatible and no links from the parent company provides you with a working copy :).. They try, but I think all the foam from a "successful release" beer fest they are sure to be having has fogged their brains at the moment. Ah well, let em get wasted.. that's when really funny things start to happen like server admins using things like "armageddon" commands cause they are curious.

These mirrors are constantly maxed out. That means 1000 downloads going at a time. Im running mac, and tues. morning i started downloading the patch inside the client. It was taking an EXTREMELY long time, but i just let it do its thing. -Like 24hrs- This morning i came back and got an error message saying the file was corrupted. So im retrying the client patch, as well as the link piratezxp provided (premium patch vers.) That one is saying over 7hrs. ! I have missions that are expiring. Weak. Also, im a bit scared to see what i find once im actually in the game after reading many many posts......

Any advice on how to get these junk internet connections to let more data through? I am using limewire to get the torrent because it is the fastest I have been able to get here, but still only getting 2-3kb/s. Odd thing is that I am seeding the exact same file and uploads are reaching 100kb/s+.
