Okies, we get a new patch, loads of shiny stuff that most people will forget after 2-3 months, and some stuff that should have been here a few years ago. But besides that.
I did own a full set of Probe BPO's, costing around 4.5M-5.0M isk each, Now I got 17 the same probe BPO's all researched, etc.
What should I do with these? they now completely worthless, I mean most people who have a set of probe BPO's got this problem now, they worth nothing now, and costed me loads of isk (eg time to gather) and research.

Didn't you make ISK during the time you had them? Yes, it stinks a bit that they are all now the same, but still...
That being said, perhaps I'll buy one from you (since they are researched and all). Send me a mail in game if interested.

This is like whining when missiles got nerfed. Just sell 'em cheap or trash them, CCP is not going to give you a refund, they already did their job of letting you know about this change well in advance.

what you should have done: read the patch notes before patch
what you should do now: sell them on contracts to people who want to get into scanning

Even if you are unable to dispose of them for cash, it is still considerably less than 100M .. hardly a bank breaker.
My biggest beef with the patch is that both the Recon and Exploration launcher BPOs became Expanded Launcher BPOs, had hoped for a Core Launcher BPO.
PS: Is my memory faulty, or did the ME on the probe BPOs get bumped up to 50? I would swear that I only researched them to ten before patch.

Guy in my corp was in the same boat, he tried to offline his BPOs and his close to 200,000 exploration probes, Selling them for close to COST.
No one purchased the BPOs even though they where priced for 4mil each, he managed to unload about 160,000 probes though. He's down the BPO costs and about 120mil for the probes. That's the difference in manufacture cost too.
The probes you did have (if you had any) can't even be melted down for the minerals. He said because he was selling them he forgot to melt down the remainder before down time. All in all lost about 220mil including cost of the BPOs. However he made about 300mil selling all those probes dirt cheap for the two weeks leading up to the patch.
The one thing I don't like now is these probes are cheap... really cheap, like build cost of like 1500 ISK. And they last forever. Hell even if you launch the probes, goto a new system or dock or crash out, you just enter the system and say "Reconnect" and "Reclaim". While the "Reconnect" is something that should have been in the game at the start, the "reclaim" makes these things worthless, utterly worthless.
Other items that "Last forever" is LENs for Amarr lasers. The difference is they have some value behind them. Drone can last forever too, but can also be shot down and killed. They have value as well, and are also longer to research, longer to make etc. These probes you can research to Perfect ME at like ME10 which takes 1 hour.
They should be pricey VERY expensive to make, or take weeks to make or something.

I had a full set as well. I was able to stack most of them since I never used them. The new patch is awesome so I'm not complaining. I do not mind making sacrifices for progress. You are welcome to join me.

Only the T1 Amarr Crystals last for every T2 and faction disappear after a not entirely determinable amount of use.
So always carry a spare set.

Your technology is out of date.
The rest of us upgraded stop complaining.
(I'm referring to the "upgrade" of probes in game, not out of game stuff.)
