If I quit a corp during a war, can I still be podded (i.e. does the war follow me)? If so, how long does this last?
Thanks

24 hours, as far as I know.
Doing so to rejoin the corp after the war blows over, however, can be seen as an exploit, depending on GM investigations.

You can use the leave button, which takes 24 hours to actually leave or join a diffrent corp in which case its instant.
You can join an NPC corp you have an high standing with until the war ends.
If thats considered an exploit then the Devs/GMs/whoever makes the rules should lay off the silly pills. ---------------------------

It's only considered an exploit if you leave your corp, run away from the enemy a few systems away, then rejoin.
We had to petition a corp we are at war with for doing that, and apparently they got warned for it. ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

Well quitting a corp to avoid harm with intent to rejoin is an exploit I think. We had a corp do it before, you'd have members who'd leave the corp to haul stuff, then rejoin later after they've finished. ------------------------------------------

I will be Honest
IMHO once a war has started there should be no leaving till the war is over
I know why its not so though but how about a fine system for leaving a corp at war (along with the 24 hour timer) the fines should be large and paid to the corp who declared the war (spoils of war)
what do you all think ??

so then what happens when some super pirate corp declares war on a 1 week old noob corp just for the fun of it? there has to be some way for people who absolutely dont want/can't fight to protect themselves, as anyone can simply declare war. we just tell those people to suck it up and take the beating they are about to get, or just not even play for a week or so until the war is ended? leaving the corp until the war ends seems to be about the only way to protect tiny weak corps from large corps that want to gank them. anyway, just some food for thought. and i know that it doesnt happen very often, but it does happen. and its not fun.

Then the corporation get someone to back them up, hide or disband.
Hopefully there will be future market tools to starve the ******* pirates to death.

all you are saying there are true
that is also why i know why its possible to leave a corp while it is at war thats the exact reason you gave there
with that said its not fair to the real corp wars out there and i hope that this new system (coming in shiva) where it costs money to declare a war will help the small corps that does not want to fight from getting wars declared on them just because its fun to pick on NOOB miner corps in 1.0 and .9
now this is all asuming that its even allowed (not a exploit or grieffing) to declare war on a Noob corp for no reason CCP in my opinion would see a pattern if a corp declared war on only small new corps and i asume the individuals behind this would be banned also i dont know of any corps that does this just for fun (especially after the 1 mill thing)
if we asume that the corps that does exploit the war system is few and far between then not being able to leave a corp doing a war (or atleast having to pay a fine to do so) would make sense

doubtful... 1 million a week is nothing. it says corp wars will cost 1mil*2*#of wars with the first costing 1 mil... so the 2nd war is 2mil, 3rd is 4 mil, 4th is 6mil, 8, 10, 12 etc..
heh.. highly doubtful. i could personally fund 7 corp wars for a couple weeks. 41 mil a week for 7 wars is nothin for some people and a drop in the bucket for some corps.

How about if you quit your corp during a war you cant rejoin it until the war is over with that corp, not a perfect solution ut its somthing to start on.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |
