Mercenary Forces [.MF.] are a force of mercenaries, we're neither good or evil, we go where there's action and money, plain and simple.
Some basic requirements before you continue You must be able to provide for yourself. Although the corporation does attempt to make ships and equipment available at mineral cost plus a small administration fee, you are required to fund yourself.
You must be able to use Team Speak and you must be able to speak and understand English.
You have reasonable experience at EVE. You know how the User Interface works and you know how basic stuff like the market, fitting, insurance, etc.
So now what? - the interview Put in a detailed application at our headquaters, and be prepared to be questioned by our recruitement personel. The interview process can take several days and is initially conducted via EVEmail. The second stage involves more extensive questioning on private communication channels, and then on Team Speak so you should download the client and set it up in preperation for this. Once we are satisified you will have your application approved, and you will enter regular service as a mercenary with the title of Landlubber.
And then what? - the trial The first four weeks of your membership is a trial. You have a chance to make an impression with our shareholders who ultimately decide if you get accepted as a full member or rejected.
During the trial you will not get access to any corporation assets (hangars, wallet, etc.) You will be able to buy corporation equipment and ships at mineral cost plus a 10% administration fee (to cover rents, time spent getting minerals, etc.).
In order to make the best possible imression on our shareholders you should: - be online as much as possible - be doing stuff with corporation members - be on teamspeak at all times - listen to advice and possibly give advice to others - be friendly
You should not: - fly around alone all the time - not be on teamspeak - breathe heavily into your microphone (please set push to talk). - talk trash in local - never log on
And then?... Well when your four weeks are up, the CEO of Mercenary Forces will initiate a shareholders vote to determine if you should be offered a full membership or be rejected.
If the vote is in favor, you will be promoted to Ordinary Seaman and effectively end your trial memberships status.

As a former client of TPS, I can say that Mercenary Forces are an effective and experienced force that I would recommend anyone seeking pvp experience join. Whether you specialize in frigate, cruiser, or battleship warfare, these guys have a place and a role for you.
Good luck in your recruitment drive, MF!

Just a few things I think would be helpful to know, which timezones do you accept (I assume all, if so which region are the majority of your members in).
If you do a lot of kills in empire, do you have rat hunts to repair sec status, or is it something you expect of the members to give up? I'm not too familiar with PvP, so I'm scoping out corps and trying to determine all the factors i should look for.

Edited by: RageChild on 16/08/2004 02:29:44 Join these guys if you like PvP! They are very good at what they do, work as a team, and don't talk smack. Recommended highly.
Shiva:
Merc. corps use Concord sanctioned war to go after their targets in empire space. So lost of security status is typically not an issue.

Drax and his crew are a fun bunch of guys who always remember Rule #1: It's just a game! They are also one of the few merc corps with an open recruitment policy, so if you want to give 'the life' a shot then take advantage of this oppertunity! -

we are 60/40 Euro/USA and would be happy to accept from both
As we have 16 sanctioned wars at present (current record holders for a non alliance/RP group), finding targets without losing sec status is no problem, as we arn't pirates dealing with sec rating is not really a problem, some do however kill NPC's and as long as its not what you spend most of your time doing when in corp, then its not a problem.

I may be interested, as you say there is the trial period, that I assume goes both ways (ie you don't like me, I get kicked, if the corp doesn't work for me, I can leave anytime).
I'll probably be in touch with one of the reps in the near future.

We had a war with the previous incarnation - Mercenary Frigates. They were a lot of fun and worthy opponents. Very low levels of smack (if any), as well, if I remember correctly...
If you join, your path with MF will not be easy, but it will be fun, and I daresay rewarding... ____________________________________________
