To the leaders of the Pirate Syndicate (TPS) û currently holding Tribute, Vale and Geminate, and to the leaders of the Pheonix Alliance (PA) û currently of no fixed abode. In recent weeks it has come to the attention of the residents of Pureblind, Fade and adjacent regions that TPS and PA vessels are operating a mutual non-aggression pact wherein PA vessels are allowed to pass TPS fleet patrols and apparent military cooperation where PA and TPS vessels target the same vessels and targets with combined fire. Now, as independently declared alliance entities this is of course your right and freedom to enact such a pact and treaty, and nobody would argue otherwise. IÆm also completely uninterested in the ôPirate/anti-Pirateö debate and believe such terminology is completed wasted on the current northern situation in any case.
Rhetoric by the by and left aside:
Over this weekend we saw a TPS fleet hold EC-8PR for a period of time and target all non PA vessels; neutrals and NCA, novices and experienced pilots were destroyed by what appeared to be a well-organised and premeditated fleet action.
So the question is: what should we call this undeclared NAP and treaty of military cooperation between the triple region-holding TPS and the roving PA remnants?
I canÆt stress enough that there is absolutely no purpose to a ôyes you are/oh no weÆre not!ö style denial fest. The evidence of our own eyes (watching these actions) and ears (listening to local communications between TPS and PA ships) is incontrovertible and whatever might be said in disavowal, its simple fact that the destruction and maiming of innocents in Pureblind stands pretty consistent witness to the true state of affairs.
Monsieur Cao Cao, you and I have been enemies for a year now, under different flags and different causes and though you are a clever politician and cunning plotter I have appreciated that when the cover is blown you are always prompt to make direct and honourable declaration of intention and commitment.
So letÆs have it! I imagine that becoming the undisputed rulers of a triple-regional power has become boring already for the Pirate Syndicate and you chaps are now looking for fresh conquests. I can see why you would look to Pheonix Alliance as your natural allies because there is history after all, who can forget the famous Halseth Durn proposal of merger between the NVA and FE:
Quote: ôI am now prepared to publicly throw Oberons support behind an idea for forming a new and unique alliance with the FE. We have come to the conclusion that the NVA has as an alliance finally begun to show its age. The ideology has become obsolete and tiresome. Chained to the faded glory of a victory over some corp named TTi. Those days are gone, the game has become harder and more complex and we need to either grow and evolve, or join the dodo bird in history. Luckily for us, an option has come along for us to do exactly that. That oportunity is the clean slate of a new alliance that could very well be the boldest move ever seen in EVE. Sure its a risk, but the potential for rewards are much greater than a continued stalemate with FE and obscurity at the bottom of everyoneÆs alliance list. û Halseth Durn (Oberon)ö
If you chaps of the TPS are finally ready to make a go of monsieur HalsethÆs ôdream-teamö and we are about to see the merger of PA and TPS interests then well and good, it will be interesting. LetÆs face it also, despite your name you are hardly a pirate outfit Cao Cao, you are a proto-empire and military machine. Piracy is pretty much irrelevant as a income stream and you run macro-economic processes for ship-building and logistics in pretty much the same way as every other alliance in the Eve Star Cluster.
So there is no shame in this warming of relations between old friends, and should PA and TPS merge you would be close to HalsethÆs old "vision":
Quote: ô... where we can travel freely from Geminate to PureBlind without incident. Look into the future where WE are the most prosperous and respected alliance in eve. Look into a future where you and your corp are uncontested masters of the entire northern regions. Look even farther into the future when we hold all of the gates into the newly opened Jovian empire!ö û Halseth Durn (Oberon)
Anyway, in the interests of the galactic political map-makers correcting their notes and colour schemes and relationship acronymns, can we have a clear statement of intent from the respective leaders please?
Love and peace

The funny thing is monsieur dewtauk, I bet thats amongst the most polite response I receive from some quarters ... still, for forms sake I should say that since TPS makes a formal territorial claim and registers itself alongside the other alliances it should make a policy of publicising NAP and military treaties. In fact I did notice that Cao Cao pointed out that NCA should be added to the TPS list of enemies on the alliance run-down monsieur Leno provided at the weekend. That does symbolise a desire to declare intentions on behalf of his alliance.
But hey, I asked, and now must await for the slings and arrows of outrageous punctuation ...

Sorry Jade but your quite wrong, TPS is under no obligation to post puplic responses, or information regarding military treaty's. The only people that NEED to know are the forces involved. However, from time to time TPS may CHOOSE to post and let information be known to the public. Laying claim to an area of space does not come with a list of obligations that you must adhere too by any set standards.
Please note i am not speaking on behalf of TPS, but offering my personal opinion on this matter

Just when i was getting bored at work thinking what happened to all the posts about the PA this springs up
Now these is my very personal views:
The PA ever since it has been formed has been very anti pirate keeping EC-P and surrounding systems free from rats. War gets declared on the PA and a load of people jump on the band wagon to attack us. There are a few entities that have stood by us and have not attacked. To name a few CA and TPS. TPS and the PA have had a long history of fighting each other going back to the old FE days. Now i have got the stage were i dont care who we fly with as long as the job of killing our enemies gets done after all our enemies dont care who they fly with so why should we.
The way i see this is that we both want to kill the same people so what is the point in us killing each other at the same time. To the best of my knowledge R-K will not fly with them and if we see TPS we will just fly on by wishing them happy hunting in local.
As stated there are my personal feelings on the matter and are not the views of the PA or R-K

Then why did you post about the ebil TPS killing all innocents etc and lay it all down real thick using emotive language. Why did you just not say it has come to our attention that TPS have not being firing up PA when they have come into contact with each other.

Jade what is the point in brining this in the argument btw as Diemos pointed out the FE died about 6 months ago when most of them moved on to a new game. When FE died this quote became worthless so why bother using it as it has nothing to do with the current situation?
