I don't really mission, I use locator agents and when I get to a station with 4 agents I forget which one it is. So I click on the wrong one and he puts a mission into my journal. I click decline and it closes that mission and puts a new one into my journal. Of course if I decline it, I lose faction. If I let it expire, they get ****es and I lose faction, or at least that's what used to happen.
Anyone else having this problem?

That's not what he's asking mate.
Undock with the agent conversation open and then refuse it. You'll be told you have to dock to talk to them instead of another mission. ------------------

Clicking delay leaves it in your journal, and I am guessing that once it expires you lose faction. I don't even get the choice to chose close or delay.
The second the window opens the mission is put into the journal. If I decline it puts another in right away. Delaying it leaves it in my journal so it expires later with a loss of faction.
Having to undock and refuse the mission is a bit idiotic and tedious to say the least. I hope CCP fixes this.

I agree with this, nobody likes a cluttered mission journal and this workaround shouldn't be needed at all. But you no longer lose standings for expired missions so you don't need to worry about that.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Whole stuff is idiotic... getting missions forced on you really does suck balls!
for ex. enemys abound 5 of 5 level 4 IS ALMOST FREAKING undoable if you do not have decent skills or 2-3 friends who come to help.
But If I take my friends, they all want share... so wtf is point doing this mission at all?
Then I decline whole waste of time and what I get? standing loss.. like -0.5 BANNNNG!! YEAH and my corp loses standing..
I remember times when you could check up missions and accept or ask another one.. it was good! NOW IT SUCKS!
? ----------------------------------------------- Limit cloaks to cloaking ships! Or Make covert ops`s to scan prototype and improved cloaks!!!

Does not matter if you have missions offered or not, accepted or not, you don't loose standings anymore.

The new mission system isn't significantly different than the old mission system, barring that letting a mission expire no longer incurs a penalty.
Under the old mission system, if you do EA 4/5, your agent automatically gives you 5/5 as soon as 4/5 is complete, the only way to avoid getting 5/5 offered is to not complete or decline 4/5... which is HOW IT WORKS NOW TOO.
You still get to decline 1 mission per agent every 4 hours. You still get the option of not having (a non sequence) mission offered (click close instead of continue after turning in a mission). However, you now get the option of letting a mission expire without penalty. Please, tell me where the negative change happened?
Also, the agent dialogue window is infinitely better, since all mission info is displayed on one screen.
As for the "if i take my friends they want a share" EVE is a MMORPG, in case you are new to the internets, that stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Please note the second word, MULTIPLAYER, is it not logical then to deduce that some content may actually require you to work with other people?
EDIT 6 am and i cant spell... ----- The above does not represent the opinions of my corp or alliance. |

The new interface has fewer clicks, but it is a bit confusing. If you don't accept the mission the offer expires and you don't lose any standing. You can contact the agent from any station and decline without being offered another mission.

I've never had to do that. If I don't want a mission, I click Close. If I don't want to do a series of misisons I Delay it, just like in the past it will be marked as unaccepted in your jouirnal. --------------------------- Your neighborhood sociopath. |

Are you sure? Pre-patch letting a mission expire resulted in the loss of the standings. ---------------------------

They changed it. Dev comment was like "now you either lose standings or time, but not both".
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Ah, thanks for that info! Strange that they document masses of typographical and grammatical error corrections in the patch notes but nothing about this more important change. Well, perhaps they simply forgot it... can happen...
