A co-worker of mine lives right up the street from the place and tells me they don't have their kitchen online yet. So far they only serve snacks from a bag or that can be heated in a microwave. We're gonna go by there sometime again in the next few weeks to see how things stand. |

We'll keep an eye out for you on the 29th, 1717. The King's Head has some good beer on tap, and a great atmosphere. It'll be outstanding when they get their kitchen online. A point was brought up last Saturday night about the date for November's meetup. The last Saturday of November is the weekend after Thanksgiving (and my grandson's first birthday!). Due to the holiday and family type stuff, it was suggested that we move November's meetup to the weekend before, on the 17th.
I'm good with either Saturday, so let's hear from the rest of y'all: Which Saturday is better for us to meet in November? |

We get together monthly, on the last Saturday each month. Next scheduled meeting is 30 March at 8ish PM. So far it's been a modest affair, with most attending being 8 players and one spouse. 3-5 is an average, I guess.

We had four this past weekend, which I think was pretty good in light of the horrible weather we had. Next month's meetup is set for 8PM on 25 May.
Also, I realized yesterday that the in game channel I set up is Houston Meetupds. Not sure how that happened, I am certain when I set it up it was Houston Meetup, which channel exists but someone else is the channel owner. So if you are not already in the channel, feel free to join Houston Meetupds. |

We can usually be found in the private room through the french doors just to the left as you enter the pub. If it's raining out, though, that's where they set up the live band, instead of out on the patio. So you can ask around if there's a band in there, otherwise it should be us.

Good meetup this weekend. No new faces showed up, a few regulars were out, but there were 5 of us. The blues band playing on the patio were rocking it, plus the place was packed as some guy named Jim was celebrating his 50th birthday. Our normal room was taken by the party-goers but we ended up in the big meeting room toward the back. The fajitas were good, too.

We've used the long table room in the back a few times, when that front room right by the entrance was otherwise occupied. But the wait staff can be less attentive to you in that back room, especially if they're dealing with an overly large crowd or a shortage of staff. At least the front room provides more visibility to the bar.
I can call and reserve a room for the 28th, though Nov and Dec usually don't garner big crowds in the bar. Last December was just two of us, we sat at the bar and watched college football on he tv.
