This is really minor, but I have a suggestion for the way combat sounds are handled when zooming the camera out. I like the way the sounds diminish as you zoom out. That makes it all feel more realistic, but at the same time, when I zoom out, I am missing out on the whole auditory element of the combat, which I think lessens the sense that I'm blasting away at some ship and getting blasted away myself. So, without thinking about it, I find myself constantly zooming out to see the combat, then zooming back in to hear it.
So, my suggestion would be to fade out the sounds of combat as you zoom out like now, but never to let them completely disappear. I am, after all, inside the ship even if my camera is zoomed way out.

Oh, and as a side note, the ambient tracks you guys made for the game are awesome. Bravo.

Agreed.
Backstory reasoning: There's no real sound ANYWAY because it's in space. All sounds are given to you in your pod. The pod could play the sound irrespective of how far away your camera drones were from your ship.

Rant mode: ON My auditory canals remain on board my craft even when zooming out. Zooming out is not the equivalent of an out of pod / body experience. In my pod, I CAN hear sound. It is NOT a vacuum. I wish to hear the incessant pummeling around me in full surround sound as the enemy thrashes me with intended death. For those who have invested more in sound equipment than some have invested in video cards... the current Apocrypha sound situation Sucks -with a capital 'S'.  Rant mode: OFF
It makes sense, visually, to reduce Visual fidelity when zooming out but not for Audio.
Much Credit is due the graphics folks for their fantastic work. Yes, I like to zoom in once in a while to check it out. Yet, most of the time I'm out at +/- 75 km -keeping an eye on the battle.
