[list=1]Down load the client (patching works for some but not all) Link to a good tutorial on how to download. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1020759
is your computer a supported platform? Eve has some minimum hardware requirements, if you are below specs you could/will have issues, I know this sucks but that is what the game requires. http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=124 Minimum System Requirements: The client does not run on a PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Macintosh Machines (PowerMac). MacBook laptops are also not supported nor the Mac Mini.
- Supported hardware is MacBook Pro laptops, Mac Pro machines and iMacs. All these machines have to meet the following minimum requirements below:
- CPU: Intel based computer with CPU speed equal or greater than 1.8GHz
- Video: ATI X1600 or NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT or higher with 128 MB of Video RAM
- RAM: 1024 MB or more
Recommended system configuration for running EVE Online:
- CPU: Intel based 2 GHz or better
- Video: ATI HD2600 PRO or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
- RAM: 2 GB

Do you have a supported OS? Eve requires OS X 10.5.6 or later, there is a reason for this, Apple in there infinite wisdom does not update drivers once a new OS has been release. Leopard was released on 26 October 2007, it is now 2009, I know this seams unfair, but that is how apple does things, update to 10.5 or wait till 10.6 comes out.
Did you read the forums? I hope so, there are some nice stickies in there, and I bet you are not the first person with that issue. Seeing the same thread subject over and over is kind of a pain. Searching Eve's forums sucks.. try this http://eve-search.com/ you can even select the Macintosh forums and limit your search to that.
Did you read the "Known Issues" http://www.eveonline.com/updates/knownissues.asp and the Development forums http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=channel&channelID=3522 most of the "bugs" are not Mac specific
Did you try a clean Preferences file? if you played on the old "classic" client, and are still using your old "~/Library/Preferences/EVE Online Preferences" and are having issues, quit eve rename the Preferences folder and relog, this sometimes will clean up your issues. There is one main caveat you loose some of your settings.
Are you on a mac with a ATI video card? Take a look at this. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1021336 See read th forums..
Did you file a bug report? How is CCP going to help us if we don't let them know what is up? Please file a bug report, help them fix the client. Bug Reporting: To run the eve client with the debugger on, follow these steps
- Open Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal)
- cd ../../Applications/EVE\ Online.app/Contents/MacOS
If you have renamed your eve online app to something else, cd into that directory instead
- ./cider -debugmsg +seh,+tid,+module,+debugstr &> ~/Desktop/EVEcrashlog.log
- Have the crash occur (this is the hard part
- Compress the logfile generated on your desktop
[*]Create a bug report If the file is too big, upload it to EVE-Files instead and link it in your bug report
[*]You still feel like posting? I know I can't read minds.. and i don't think any one else can, so post your system information. Posting "My Mac keeps crashing"
