The most favourite EvE player by far is Chribba. Not because he's good at playing EvE, or for owning large ships in all the wrong places, but because he's nice. He gives so much to us, both in-game and out-of-game...and in return we want to gank him for it? 
Other notable EvE players are mentioned below, but I will not list them in any sort of order - these are simply characters that have accomplished notable deeds in EvE.
# Istvaan Shogaatsu - As the mastermind for the biggest heist/assassination in New Eden, he gets a nod. Setting the standard for every other thief and murderer in EvE is a major accomplishment.
# Ubiquia Seraph - For taking it like a *****. See above.
# INNOMINATE NIGHTMARE - His tale of life on the frontier is an epic read. It's better than most of the stuff CCP staff puts out.
# Vladimir Norkoff - The only player I know of that's currently writing EvE material on par with INNOMINATE NIGHTMARE. His Taxman stories are well worth a read.
# Veniel - For being the only Jovian character left in EvE. (To CCP: Leave him be!)
# Gripen - For giving us EFT.
# Ombey - For cartography.
# K·gutsemen - For showing us the truth, even though only once and for a brief time. But it changed things, and for the better.

I don't know those players, nor what they are known for. I'm just a '07 character, you know. I also did my best to willingly ignore the big 0.0 bigwigs for two reasons: I'm not a part of the 0.0 game, and I don't really care about the 0.0 game.
