What is Ghost Festival?
Ghost Festival, or [PRETA], is a dedicated roleplay corporation for characters in service to the Angel Cartel, an organization of breathtaking ruthlessness and brutality engaged in criminal activities from drug manufacture to slavery and prostitution, yet also having the most cosmopolitan, multi-ethnic culture of any faction in New Eden. Possessing technology rumored to have been salvaged from the remnants of a fallen Jovian empire, the Cartel is the largest and most powerful criminal syndicate in the cluster.
The Cartel has recently suffered at the hands of capsuleers, and Ghost Festival is an experimental project operating under the watchful eye of the Dominations to see whether pod pilots, the bane of conventional vessels, can be made brought into service to the Cartel as more than mere mercenaries.
Ghost Festival concentrates on the martial side of capsuleer life and training. Favoring speed, stealth, and guile over brute strength, it specializes in frigate and cruiser gangs with an emphasis on teamwork. Treating the war between the Minmatar and Amarr as a training ground for its members, PRETA pilots haunt the battlefield, preying on both sides without discrimination. Their ultimate goal is to establish a permanent presence in and eventually dominate the capsuleer society of the Angel Cartel's home region, Curse.
Ghost Festival's approach to the game is one of focused roleplay. To us, Eve is a story in which each and every one of us play our own main characters, and it is those characters that make the story. Corp chat is in-character; there is an OOC channel, "PRETA OOC," for non-game related chatter. It's conventional wisdom that this move is doomed-- that roleplay corporations which switch corporate chat to in-character will experience only silence there. But we've already pierced this veil, and expect the talk to only expand from here.
As representatives of the criminal element, it's our responsibility to play that element well-- and consequently, we aim to continue the recent tradition of demonstrating that roleplayers very much do not suck at PvP.
Join us, and discover what the pirate's life has to offer.

What is required:
* Interest in roleplay and a willingness to interact in-character. Past experience is optional. * Recruits must be of 18 years of age or older. * Players from all time zones are accepted. * Maturity is mandatory û this should be self-explanatory. We are a jovial bunch and want to keep the game enjoyable for everyone. * Honesty is necessary. We only want honorable people that will post both kill and lossmails, honor ransoms and stick to their promises. Think "honor amongst thieves" as well as keeping the corporations image up. * Activity û meaning participation, motivation, and the ability to work as a team. Real life however comes first, and absences will be no problem as long as the directorate is informed through the "AFK thread". * Full support and loyalty to the Angel Cartel and its Allies. * Full self-sufficiency is needed. * Access to Ventrilo and a microphone for voice communications. * Ability to fly either a cruiser (cruiser IV MINIMUM and working on V + sufficient support skills) and/or an assault frigate (sufficient support skills!) well in PVP, and have 3 months of game experience. We want you ready to step into the action the moment you join so you won't have to miss out on the fun. * Be willing to train for a recon as high priority upon joining the corporation. This means training cruiser V (or start from I right away as an AF pilot), matching support skills, and get a feel for the tech I variant of the recon of your choice.

It kind of sounds what I'm looking for, although I'm waaay too new to the game (2 mil SP =/) to be of value.
I am curious to know if there is a Sansha equivalent of the Ghost Festival...
Good luck with the recruitment =) |

Naqam and White Rose Society are both Sansha roleplaying corporations. Great people in both and I can certainly recommend them should spikes and implants be more your thing.
@ Nox'Beldrath: Feel free to drop by our public channels at any time.

Testimonial:
Before I joined PRETA I was a rookie pirate with a couple of million ISK to my name. A month later and I was a not-so-rookie pirate with 100 million ISK to my name \o/

To answer a frequently answered question, 3 months is ample time to get new players accustomed to the game, build up some funds, train basic frigate and tackler skills and decide what they want to do. Being -10 and working for pirate factions requires a certain mindset. Of course if you have previous experience on other characters that can be taken into account.

While I'm supposed to say Guristas are better because of VETO affiliation, Ghost Festival is a great corporation for up and coming pirates looking for a pretty sweet RP angle and all that stuffs...
And Dame Death didn't take all the glory on the KB, I did most of the time

Outstanding group of players with a solid, level headed and well rounded set of leaders.
I've been pirating in Eve for half a decade, and other than my own corp (which I'm obviously biased toward) no other corporation comes as highly recommended as Ghost Festival.
Awesome bunch.

Besides a friendly bump, I had something to say too this time.
For those who are skeptical of the IC corp chat, don't be. I was very much so when I first thought about joining PRETA. I was pleasantly surprised, it actually works smoothly and is fun as hell.
Thanks for listening, in return hotness form the early 90's
