What's the best afterburner for a Hulk? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

To answer your question. There really isn't a AB for a Hulk. 1MN will fit but will only give you an extra 5 m/s speed. The others really can't fit in a pratical way. |

Was mainly asking from a "I want to get to the roid faster" point of view. I mine mainly in high sec right now while still skill training and want to increase my max speed.

Hi,
As was said, theres really no point due to the slow initialspeed of the hulk. The bets option is to warp to a belt, and bookmark a roid in a middle of a few good sized roids..
Then warp to another belt and do the same.
Then warp back to the first bookmark you made and mine the hell out of them. When empty go to the second bookmark.
Do that with 18-30 belts in the one system and you've got a good way of getting to the roids quickly...

Easiest way to get to an asteroid:
Warp to belt at 0km. Find the roid you want, right click it and "bookmark". Warp back to a planet/station/whatever, then warp right to the asteroid.

I looked into the matter last month, and arrived at almost the same solution, with only one exception: Do the bookmark-creation thing in a Shuttle. Much faster. (An Interceptor might be even faster. Not sure.)
If you mine in only one system, make a couple of permanent bookmarks in each belt, e.g. if your system has 7 belts then you make 15 bookmarks (2 per belt, plus 1 more bookmark for the ore dump/refinery station).
Imagine the belt is straightened out into a line
---B-------B---
Make a bookmark close to one end but not too close. Preferably so that you are 12-13 km from the furthest asteroid. Then make a similar bookmark in the other end. That way, with 2 bookmarks and using 15 km range strippers, you should be able to cover the entire belt.
Note that I haven't actually done this. I stopped mining some weeks ago. But if I resume mining, this is almost certainly what I will do.

^^^This. Other than really cutting down on the time your 70m/sec nano-hulk needs to get to the 'roid, it is ideal if you use mining drones, that really need to be less than 3k to the 'roid to mine quickly.

Edited by: Ashen Angel on 20/03/2009 16:43:47 I usually do the bookmarks at about 180km from the closest asteroid in the belt...
Warp in a decently fast ship in at 100km.. click on the closest asteroid and then align to your base station and travel for a little bit
This allows you to warp in, check the belt out and then warp into position by warp to on a roid.
Can then move around in the belt marking the warp in spots you need (usually working in or with an orca... so it's haulers warping to me or the orca to pull from the belt as we stroll through it leaving nothing but memories behind)
