only thing I would add is its handy to have a cap booster on your hic to keep tackle running while being neuted. In short hics (preferably a few of them to allow warpouts or reps and to make it harder for them to be jammed out) then dps doesn't matter what kind really, loads of missile spamming caracals would probably do pretty well :p

If you have the manpower, it's actually relatively easy to take down a mom. The main goal, is to trap him and lock him down. That's where HICs come in. And for this, you're gonna need a lot of HICs, since a well fit mom can destroy all your hics before you take him into half shields. If you are using carriers/dreads. Your dreads should be fit for normal dread fights, while your carriers should have their high slots fitted with Remote reppers, and should be launching remote rep drones to assist any ship in need. lock him down, stasis webify him to hell, and then start pounding. Depending on how the ship is setup, you might need to go into multiple cycles of siege, so make sure you have a hauler on standby ready to warp in with Strontium. If you can, the carriers might want to go into their siege mode too, but it's not necessary.
Also, make sure you have enough ECM to keep him permanently ECMed, if those drones get free, they can cause major havoc on the support vessels.
A normal MOM can tank about 5-8 dreads in siege mode, so you're gonna need a lot more than that. Also, if you have battleships or smaller, get em to use Neuts, a neuted mom isn't very good in combat.
