My Paladin cannot hit with anything but "barely scratches" shots. I mean, dreads sitting still, battleships being webbed... Constant "barely scratches doing ****".

Assuming you are still, and assuming CCP aint ****ting ya, i'd bugreport it
But try with trackingcomps and painters etc too see if that fixes it

I don't even see "barely scratches" anymore, my log output is stuck in simple damage mode. Is anyone getting this too?
I used to get "well aimed", "barely scratches", etc but just it's just a plain rounded up number, no hit quality info at all.

could it be you have turned on "Simple damage notifications" on the options? perhaps?

He acknowleged it was "Stuck" like that, so that implies he has tried turning it off.

My logs don't give hit quality any more. You now get a colour code for hit quality when shown on screen, green being a good hit, yellow, orange for a bad one I think...
TBH I suggested a long time ago each weapon should get a damage indicator on HUD for last hit. Place it just above each weapon and give colour based on hit quality.
At least gives a way to let you see Damage notifications from amongst all the NPC damage without having to open the combat log.

Sorry yes I should've said - it was stuck on Simple regardless of the checkbox in the settings.

If that's the case - why is there even an option for "Simple Damage Notifications" when currently (on TQ anyway) it makes no difference what this is set to?
I figured it was a bug that there were only simple damage notifications available regardless of settings, but I see no mention of it having been fixed in todays patch (1.02), so who knows.

I think there's something wrong too, I noticed yesterday that my paladin was doing around 2k per volley when i'm used to seeing messages of at least 5k.
maybe the 100% damage boost isn't being applied properly?
