Lord TYMAN
You're Doing It Wrong

So my bunch of nerds are currently nerding it up in wormnerd space. (we've got a pos setup - sh!t was so cash)
Anyway some old friends came to join us in our bleak outpost. For some hilarious reason one of our friend's intercepters got ejected from the POS shields overnight. An eyewitness said he saw a GoonSwarm pilot eject from his Co-Ops and steal the cepter as our POS guns looked on idly. Scum. Sub-human scum.
So we proceed to find out where this cheeky monkey came from - and to our combined horror / delight find a 1b kg capacity wormhole leading to 0.0 system in Delve. GoonSwarm HQ...
Now I'd had a few beers by this point and without consulting my underlings proceeded to make this foolish post in CAOD inviting the enemies of GoonSwarm the chance to get some sneeky ships into Delve.
A more sensible member of our group pulled me aside for a second and pointed out that
1) Goons already know where this WH is. Their pilot has been in our system stealing ships
2) The wormhole in question has the capacity to fit nealy 10 battleship sized ships through
3) You're on CAOD goading a bunch of lunatics to come and kill us all.
I have a quick joint...
Have another look on the CAOD post...
A goon replies...
"see you on the battlefield"
Oshi...Probably just the weed, but I'm feeling very paranoid now about an impending ****storm.
I warp to the delve system, and in another epic move forget to BM the wormhole and therefore end up stuck in this 0.0 Goon system. After about an hour my boys pull through and reprobe it out and I manage to slink back into wormf4g space.
But it's not over yet. We need that thing closed ASAP.
We proceed to carefully calculate the mass quota of the hole and match it to our battleship masses - maticulously counting each kg to make sure we stress it JUST enough to collapse with us all safetly inside our WH.
Yeh, didn't happen. My falcon alt ended up making the final jump into Delve with the fabulous "lolowned, the wormhole's just closed behind you" message greeting him as I see local starting to spike.
Check number of jumps back to anywhere resembling home. 80 jumps. Through Goonspace. Awesome.
Proceed to probe for new wormholes and get lucky in the next system and end up in a new wormhole. Turns out I'm not alone. There's a goon pilot in here too. After another hour of failed attempts to find an exit, I offer up a deal to the goon pilot, to see if he'd be interested in buying a discounted Falcon for 70m from a suicidal pilot.
He show's interest but any deal involving a -10 pirate and a goonswarm member in the middle of a wormhole system isn't ever going to be a paradym of trust. I manage to squeeze 35m up front from him, then eject, and pod myself, never really expecting to see the other half - but as I wake up in a cosy station with actual facilities I notice my wallet blink with the other 35m. A non-scamming goon. What has this game come to!
The End.

Cool story bro, and as for the non-scamming goon, I am disappointed.

1 act of good faith from a Goon, doesn't even move me in the slightest towards thinking they are trustworthy.
That was a good story though.

I hate all this **** about "NEVER TRUST GOONS!!!!111", seriously. They're no more untrustworthy than anyone else in this game. Just follow Rule #1 (Don't be stupid.) and you'll be a-okay.

Sounds like a well written fiction to make Goons look trustworthy.

True, however they have a "bad" reputation to keep up and the Goon in the OP has let the team down

I fought with the early goons in Syndicate against the roaming BoB pilots. The "real PvP"ers in Syndicate got fed up with the lousy goon carebears (and their insults of the dead BoB pilot) and left to Veritas Immortalis. Goons were mainly mining and running missions in the JZV-cluster and were quite horrible at responding (if they did) to PvP.
True story.
I never could really wash that image off, to me, goons will always be carebears. -
