May I point out Fall does not end until December 21, and with the Eve Fanfest October 24th, Shiva will most likely not be released until after the fanfest (a preview of Shiva will be the main spectacle).
So we are looking for Shiva around November 20, which is a long way back from the announced release date of May. Eve Online really needed a fresh face back in May because of the boring same old, and it didn't get it.
Well, my time is up. Good bye Eve, was fun playing - feels great to get rid of you!

Wasn't Blue Pill *****ing a few weeks ago about being a n00b that was bored with mining?

Yes, you nailed it right on the head. You are right, Korben, that does mean that newbies come here, see all they delayes, assume that everything is always delayed and quit EvE. A great way to kill a MMORPG!

For CCP: Delay = bad (Whatever made you delay it for 6 months?). Nerf = bad. However great the intentions are, most of the time this is the rule for many. While I may feel sorry for the DEVs and all of their confusion about creating and keeping a MMORPG.. they are in big business now, and I am a customer. I don't need to emotially attach myself to the developers.
To an obvious response: no, you can't have my stuff.

There needs to be no proof. You see it every day- Newbies are backbone of MMORPGs, and not many are going to stay if:
-They are told to mine mine and mine if they ask 'how do I progress during first few weeks?'
-They have to see things get delayed/get buggy. It doesn't matter if they have a clue about what gets delayed or what is buggy- they are going to assume that the delays and bugs are going to go on.
-They have to see all the flames about PvP and Pirates
-They have to see all the flames towards carebears. "A community that is ready to tear my libs apart just because I mine scordite? Uhh... no thanks."
If you want a solid proof.. well, EvE's subscription numbers aren't that great.

There was a dev post last week (which was deleted very fast again for some reason) that stated november 3rd as Shiva release date.
September is impossible now, and yes the dev's know about it.
There's not enough time to test Shiva code on a new testing server that isnt even ready yet.
Anyway, expect shiva somewhere betwee 3 and 17 november if you ask me. Not sooner.
And if they use the time to squash some bugs and do good testing it's allright with me. IF they come clean about it right away that is.
