If you who have trained some Diplomacy look at the results:
Are you getting 0.4 per level or 0.6 ?
With level 4 Diplomacy my standings menu says
Gallente is -3.46 with, and -5.06 without, difference 2.4;
Minmatar is -3.24 with, and -4.84 without, difference 2.4.
That's 0.6 per level, not 0.4
Diplomacy's description says "0.4 Bomus per Level...
"Not cumulative with Connections or Criminal Connections."
Was this buffed and the info not updated ?
Am I missing something ?

Diplomacy (negative base) and connections (positive base) both grant +4% per level of difference between +10 and your current standing.
It's not +0.40 per level - it can be anywhere from +0.80 to nothing, depeniding on base standings.

Yea, that works out:
Difference my -5.06 vs +10.0 is 15.06
15.06 * 16% = 2.41 change I see.
Do I get anything special if I nag CCP to fix the description ?

Point is there is reason for me to train Level-5.
I was surprised last month to see that too many Caldari
Lvl-4 storylines had my alt past the -2.0 cutoff
to entire factions despite my good standing to certain
corps and agents I've already worked even to Level 3
0.4 would not be enough to help me, but another 4% of the diff
to +10.0 (0.6) will help me just enough to regain contact with the Minmatar.
Hopefully after several storylines I'll have enough spinoff with the
Gallente to get them back also. We'll see.

my main character got Diplomacy V from the beginning (awesome waste of 256k starting points...)
and then I trained for Connections IV. In both cases I tell you the gains are minimal specially when you keep approaching +10.0 standing. For example I wanted a high connections level to get into jump clones (+8.0 is needed) but hecks I had to reach like a real 7.6 so its not a great deal you know
I would not train for level V ones as it kills many training time for ridiculous gains.
I recommend missioning for Sisters of Eve it helps at raising every race-faction standings on EVE.
