Looking for advice on type of ship to aim for for my missioning support alt.
My main is in a CNR setup for more gank than tank and I currently use my alt to shield rep which works awesome.
Thinking what perhaps I can also get my alt to add some DPS to the mission. My thought is to use drones, reason behind this is that I donÆt want to run essentially 2 hands on type of ships. I have my hands full with one character, the other normally just reps away. Drones enable me to (once my main has aggro), send them out to just damage the enemy without too much extra work. DonÆt have to worry about selecting new targets, reloading etc.. Well thatÆs my thought behind it.
Any advise from anyone who missions with two characters.
Also my alt was a manufacturing/research alt so is miles behind my main in a combat sense.

I usually run a Raven + Sentry Domi these days. I used to pick two of (Mael, Domi, Raven), but the Mael is kinda sub-par.

Espeically with the new groups, I (used to) dualbox with raven/abaddon or domi/abaddon depending on the mission. You just lock some targets and hit f1.
It melts so quickly that you really don't have to worry about a tank or anything. A perma-large booster on your CNR and max gank, then some buffer and a medium rep on the abaddon with max gank. I used to run megapulse, but I'm finding the range kind of inadequate. Scorch is expensive... Megabeams or Tachs offer great damage, but the cap usage is woeful.
Anyway.
A domi would be fine... but managing drone aggro will probably be just as painful as ctrl-clicking and hitting f1 now and then.

I like Raven/Domi. Ok, I can only fly that combo...

**** that, set sentries to aggressive and scoop them when they start to take too much aggro

domi all the way for a dps-support alt. drones skills are useful on all characters, so even if you plan to specialize into something else those SP's wont be wasted.
i dual box with mega and i pull room aggro as much as possible. i warp in the domi and start remote repping my main. guns are used to soften targets at range and let the drones take care of them up close, this is mainly so that wrecks are within 20KM and and i can tractor them all in to a ball with the domi. the amount of time saved is really nice.

Normally when I multi-account missions I either run a dominix, raven (armor tanked... heh), or something similar, though usually the dominix, with my main and then my support alt flies a typhoon. At this point I just have her set 5 drones go guard me (usually T2 mediums as she keeps 5 T2 logistics drones to rep. me if needed) and use my main guns to take out the big stuff while her drones take out the small stuff and she loots/salvages.
For me it's a pretty effective setup overall, and usually fairly fun. ____________________

Two 3BCS perma-tanking CNRs if you want speed.
A Domi is nice, but unless its a Rail/Sentry domi, it won't add that much more DPS. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

CNR + Shield Rep Domi.
Set drones (either sentry or normal depending on your preference) to assist your CNR character. This means they will attack whatever you are shooting with your CNR and you wont need to switch between account much.
Fit the Domi for max cap recharge and shield boost the CNR, fit the CNR for full gank.
Go.

You could always train to fly a Nightmare on your main and put your alt into a salvaging hurricane.
You will zip through missions and be able to have an alt salvage MOST missions in just 1 shot.

I use this one in a marauder to run missions in gallente space, and another char in a CNR in caldari space, I really recommend that
Both do them very fast (Mordus Headhunters in a paladin in less than 10 minutes) and put's your isk flow very high --------------------

I use a CNR with CN cruise missile launchers for gank and an uber-tanked Abaddon for tank. The Baddon draws all the fire and can perma-tank almost anything with an LAR II (I mount a second LAR for extreme situations) while the CNR does most of the killing. Now that I have Mega Pulse Laser IIs on the Baddon it can also throw out a fair amount of firepower when equipped with faction crystals. The CNR carries armor repair drones and the Baddon carries shield repair drones (two type 2 heavies for each) so they can help repair each other. Also, the CNR carries a remote armor repper and the Baddon carries an energy transferor (I found it works better than a remote shield transferor because the CNR's main problem is losing cap when it runs its shield booster). The CNR also carries extra cap booster charges which it can drop if the Baddon runs out. When running missions that require explosive or kinetic damage, I mount best-named 1200mm artillery with appropriate ammo on the Baddon instead of lasers. At this point I pretty much farm most level 4 missions, and even the worst level 4 missions simply require me to pay attention in order to finish them. Domi sounds like a good idea, though, unless you are like me and don't like a lot of combat drone management. ____________________________________

I use an abaddon/maelstrom for sansha drones and bloods Raven and maelstrom for serps gurista and angels.
maelstrom is good with artys and the right choice of ammo for the rats.
aba/mael: 4/4 grouped weapon split for insta popping cruisers and below while maintaining decent volly dmg on BS.
i would use a domi as i have sentry IIs and bs 5, however with the two accounts using drones allk the time gets tedious, with 16 large turrets its all about ganking the crap out of them at range before they know whats going on.
