such a joke, oh look we passed 50,000 users...wtf thats bull, come on ccp why not tell us really how many "users" were online, if i had to guess id say at max 20k, the other 30k+ are just alt accounts.
Get rid of GTC sales, fix your game, and then start bringing in new customers.
Untill then your milestones are a joke and you know it.

Unfortunately people tend to get hung-up on numbers. I belonged to a forum boasting 1 million members...never mind that it was complete chaos with a gestapo style moderating team.
Anyway, yes...please focus more on the game than the numbers.
If you build it (a better game) they will come.

I was a big opponent of GTC sales till I started working 65 hours a week.
I agree though. AFK and alts != PCU numbers.

The online numbers aren't quite as important as subcribed numbers, but they still indicate a number of active paying accounts. This is directly proportional to income for ccp. Seems like plenty to be excited about, and I'm happy as well. More income, more to spend on the cluster, happier me.

Yes but I think there's a real difference in long term sustainability between CCP growing because everyone is getting more alts and CCP growing because new people are joining.
