Right, so after comparing us to every other corp in Eve, you came to your senses and decided THIS is the corp for you? A man/girl of good taste. we like you already. ;)
Quantum Cats Syndicate is a small corp, now opening recruitment for those who want to fight for the Gallente Federation in Faction Warfare. We intend to STAY small, so won't be recruiting for too long. What we offer:
1. Small, close group of players. We don't want to grow to much cause we want to get to know each other well, and learn to fly as a unit REALLY well. 2. Experience, and noobs. Yeah we have some guys have done the rounds, and some are just starting. If you are new and learning the ropes, there's guys here not only with the experience but with the will to SHARE that experience. 3. Pew pew. Qcats is, and will be, a pvp corp. You can do anything you want on the side (even *shudders* mining) to get your jollies and isk, but we are very much a pvp corp. We live to pew, blow s*** up, get blown up and laugh about it as we go for another ship. Made a mistake an lost a ship? laugh it up, furball, we sure as hell ain't gonna scream or be mad about it. We WILL probably try to salvage it. 4. Own vent server / forum. 5. A relaxed attitude. Nobody will scream at you or tell you how to play a GAME you are PAYING for. RL comes first, always. 6. Members of the Gallente Militia. Seriously, best militia. Just ask other gallente militia corps. 8. We aim to misbehave, and have fun on the way.
What we want:
1. Willingness to Fight. 2. SP restrictions you say? yeah, about that. I'd rather have a newbie with 1mil sp who goes for a tackle, balls to the wall style, than a vet with 40mil who doesn't want to risk his shinny new toy. Sp is not a problem, what we want is the willingness to go out and fight. 3. A sense of humor. We do this for FUN. It's not a job, don't treat it like one. 4. ****s-be-gone. L33t-speak-kids-be-gone. Maturity is a must. 5. Racists, dramaqueens, bigot idiots, be gone. 6. Dudes who understand that "don't smack talk in local" means, you don't talk s*** in local. It's not that complicated, so consider it a litmus test. 7. Guys and gals who will actually get on vent and talk to us. I don't care how awesome you are, if you are always off doing your solo thing and doing the "strong, silent" type stuff, this won't be the corp for ya. 8. Guys who understand that yes, PLEXING IS PART OF WHAT WE DO in and for the militia, and THERE IS PEW PEW TO BE FOUND ON IT. 9. Have a positive attitude towards heavily drunk Fcs singing "living on a prayer" while roaming. In spanish.
Read all that? you thinking "man that is so cool I am so in"? well, joining ain't THAT easy. Nah actually it is. Here's what it takes: get in touch with our guys ingame, contacts are : Juan Rayo, Joseph Kurtz, Kaljor. Open convo with any of us chit chat a bit, send us some info and, if cleared by our ultrasupersikret intelligence guys (aka we look you up in battleclinic, forums, ask your ex ceo about you) you get approved.
Post in this thread to let us know you are interested, what TZ you fly, what your current goals for EVE are (besides, you know, shooting stuff). We'll try to get there together. We are *mostly* US tz, but you will find somebody online pretty much all day long.
PS: "It ain't all buttons and charts, little albatross. You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughtta fall down... tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keensą makes her a home". |

OMG and we WH ops, the occasional mission op, and of course FW. Nothing is mandatory though if you're a newb or just have questions about PvP we encourage you to ask for a bit of training.
We usually have a great turnout evenings so expect to see more than a few people on despite our low numbers.
Oh yes, no infringing on my probing territory! Oh I'll target you so hard if you do, so so hard.

OK, so I'm assuming that those who sing on voice understand that doing so makes mocking them mandatory. Unless, of course, they are really good. Then it's another story.
FW is the bomb, even if I gotta mission a bit right now to make some isk, but I'd be interested in getting to know you all and maybe joining up. I'm a noob learning who wants to be a bad ass high sec. merc in the future with some hunting down and killing on the side of those who've been podding me. Not like I'm keeping a list or anything. Nah....
In any case consider this your asked for reply showing interest. I fly in PST just about any time but evenings most. Plexing is fun, hunting wts is fun, and making fun of those who sing is, dare I say it? Fun. :)

Btw we have few blues and like to keep it that way. But our blues are true friends, if they in trouble, we will come to help. Cause that¦s how we roll Endurecete cabr=n! |

Can I provide Backup vocals for the drunk FCs?
Im a newbie gallente player highly interested in joining in on the pewpew. What I'm looking for (besides, you know shooting stuff :P), is the opportunity to shoot stuff with a laid back and fun group of people that take this game for what it is.
I play in US-EST, mostly during the evenings, but usually I just log when I need my interweb spaceship fix.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Fly safe!

Most of us are on the "older" side of the demographics, have jobs, kids, study. And yet if you look us up on kboards we do our fair share of killing caldari pilots and pies alike.
A typical day in faction warfare offer a bunch of possibilities for you. Normally I log in, inmediatly see militia channel giving intel on enemy fleets to us, and on friendly fleets to the spies in it
Join ops channel is flashing with the news of a small war target gang moving around, or in a plex and they need to have violence visited upon their boats. Friendly corp convoes asking if we want to tag along for a wormhole exploration op, corp chat is flashy with people hunting around, or look at wallet, decide I need to pad it a bit, and go *shudder* missioning. It¦s all about the options, in a fun atmosphere and a healthy, no drama bull++++ corporation. Come and give it a try! Endurecete cabr=n! |

Two questions:
1. What time do you play? I'm on 0100-0300 game time, 8-10 US CST. 2. Is it OK to sing GnR songs? I'm also really good at air guitar.

Good talk Belli, glad to see you coming in. Good questions too, I'll address them now for future interested pilots:
Most of our corpies are US tz, we have good groups roaming around. We have a few pilots in Euro tz and Argentina, real troopers I might also say, but most of us are in Us timezone for now. Endurecete cabr=n! |

Still recruiting! Qcats is going strong, killing and dying every day against pies (pirates, in gallente militia lingo) and our caldari enemies. Now if only we could get someone in corp who has a basic understanding of Photoshop, we could also have us an osume banner!
Hint: that might be you!
or not, don't really care. What I DO care about is, people who want to fight, no matter if you are new to the game, or a vet that doesn't want to be just a number in a big alliance anymore. Come, be part of the creation, growth of a fun corp that has no patience for drama and bull, and has a lot of laughs while fighting.
Also, our latest motto: "if you think you have at least a 10% chance of killing it, go for it!" Endurecete cabr=n! |

Just had a great fight tonight. I love small gang warfare and much respect to our enemies, who being outnumbered decided to jump INTO us. Thank you guys, gave us a great fight. You will never hear a Qcat talk trash about Caldari war targets, and one of our few rules is, we don't talk crap in local.
Qcats keeps growing and doing great. We are having fun, kill or die, we laugh about it and get another ship. Come join us!

Edited by: Juan Rayo on 07/04/2009 21:29:33 Faction Warfare: info for new players.
You have your basic four factions at war. On the evil, mean, kitty killing, old lady pushing side you have the Caldari and those hooded creepy little guys, the Amarr. On the side of all that is good, sexy and kick ass you have the Gallente and our bros, the Minmatar. Any race can fight for any faction, btw, just need a positive 0.5 standing towards it to be able to join their militia.
These factions are at permanent war. Once you enter Gallente, for example, you are immediately at war with almost 5k caldari pilots, dunno how much more the hoods are. As in any other war, you CAN fight in high sec, although normally high sec systems are "safe" and most of the fighting takes place in lowsec systems all over the place.
Tomorrow: To plex, or not to plex?

I've been wanting to get into pvp since I started the game about a month ago. I've dueled with some friends, and realize pvp gives me a rush that missions and mining just can't give, and this corp sounds like just what I need to get my dose. I have to warn you though, I've very little pvp experience, but I do want to learn to be one of the best. I fly PST evenings mostly, and will contact one of you soon.

Today FW for newbies: to plex or not to plex?
"Plexing" in faction warfare is the way to conquer systems or defend them from the hordes of the Caldari. You can use probes to find plexes in a system, or use your system scanner on planets to try and find some. There are different size plexes, a MINOR PLEX will let you go in with a t1 frigate or a destroyer, nothing else. A Medium will take up to a t2 frig or a t1 cruiser and so on.
This can make for pretty fun fights, as a gang of frigs/dessies fighting a gang of the similar hull size is a blast (barring overwhelming numbers)and you can fight for that 1 plex for a long time. So to answer the above question? To Plex!
Tomorrow: I didn't want that bunker anyways.
And yes, we still recruiting. Endurecete cabr=n! |

Many thanks Anna Sophia for the bump! we have lots of fun fighting the 22nd Black Rise Defensive Unit, one the best Caldari corps in our eyes. Let us keep the good fights coming. We ARE taking back all those regions by the way
ON that note: Bunker and system flipping! Once you've done enough plexes in a system (and "enough" can mean "a whole lotta") and it's surrounding systems as well, the system will go more and more contested until it reaches a point when the bunker becomes "vulnerable".
At that point, you gather a nice fleet, go shoot at the bunker, hope the war targets will come and give you a nice fleet battle, and after killing them all, shoot the bunker some more until the system flips and comes back to it's rightful owners (us).
While we are not a role playing corp by a long shot, we do get miffed when we see all our systems falling to the so far much superior and better organized Caldari effort. Come join the good fight! We are outnumbered, but never outgunned!

Thank you both, Ingame enemy and friend, for the bumps. So now the interested pilot is thinking "mmm this corp does sound good but, but, but, faction warfare sucks right?"
Well, only if you hate fun. Like EVERY other facet of the game, it can suck horribly or be amazing: it is what you make of it.
We in Qcats like to go out, fight for a plex or two, bait an overconfident target, have our little gang burn to the aid of a friendly pilot in trouble, coordinate with other gallente corporations enlisted in the fight, visit violence upon enemy boats and have violence visited upon ours. We get our fights in FW, because we go out looking for them!
Come and join!
Tomorrow: so what's this militia channel and why is it full of spies?

We are mostly US tz, and it'll be a while before we can have some other TZ coverage. That said, our very late night skeleton crew has been having a lot of last couple weeks.
Today FW for newbies: The militia channel.
AKA: oh my god, it's full of spies. And it is, too. It is NOT a good idea to use militia channel to: ask who that fleet's FC is, ask where the fleet is, x for a fleet and tell your ship type/location, or be a ****. If your militia is worth it's damn, as is ours, you will eventually get to an intel channel and get the important info relayed to you in a timely manner, so it's better to just use the militia channel to plain X (ask to be picked up by a fleet) or general chit chat on those slow nights when the wartargets are scarce. OH and btw, GET RID OF THE CSPA charge before putting your x in there. It's very annoying./
Tomorrow: But, but, the Gallente are LOSING! Endurecete cabr=n! |
