Hello,
I just had a question about standings for the purpose of putting up a high-sec POS. If I worked up my Gallente/Minmatar standings to ~8.0 each, then had someone with Amarr/Caldari standings make a corp for me (to get the required standings there) and join it, would the corp standings rise in Gallente/Minmatar as well, giving me the ability to anchor in any of the 4 empires?
Thanks

The standings go to match the average of any player who has been in the corp for 7 days. If you had no standings whatsoever in gallente/minmatar it might not reset them to you (honestly, no idea) but if you have even slight standings, those ones will be reset and you'll have just your standings in 7 days. If anybody else joins who has lower standings in anything, you'll see them drop.

If you did this and wasn't neutral to amarr/caldari then once you take over the corp you will have seven days to anchor the towers in Amarr/Caldari space, bfore your standings get reset to your levels. Your corp will then gain your higher standings for Galeente/minmatar which will allow you to anchor teh tower there..
this will give you your towers in all four empires..

Other then with member manipulation, I don't see how it's possible to continually be able to have a single corp that can have a tower in all four empires.
I can't get the math to work.
As has been said, it involves kicking certain people when you want to anchor in certain parts of space, then inviting them back once the towers are up.

Thanks for replies.
It does sound like a bit too much work to do continously. I was asking more out of curiosity than anything. It's going to be enough trouble getting my alt enough standings to keep anchoring capabilities anyway.

My limited understanding is this. Empire standings with a corp are directly related to member of corp standings with the empire. meaning if you had a freind who was not in ur corp and your corp was just say you in it and your standings wear low once your freind with high standings joined even if he or you didnt do any missions afterward in seven days your corp would get full standing benifits from your freind being in it and then you driop anchore and your freind leaves your standings go down yeah but the pos is still there.

You cant do it with one char, as if you work for everybody you end up roughly around +5 after infinite period of time of running missions. You might be able to do it with 2 chars tho by getting both of them 'good enough' towards 2 factions and keeping opposing factions reasonably high. Altho I would not hold my breath over it either.

This can be done in 9 days with 2 characters. One needs Gallente/Minmatar standings, and the other needs Amarr/Caldari standings.
Day 1: A/C joins corp Day 2: G/M joins corp Day 7: Everyone with non-zero faction standings leaves the corp except A/C and G/M. Day 8: A/C has been in corp for 7 days, but G/M has not. Corp anchors towers in A/C space. A/C leaves the corp after downtime. Day 9: G/M has now been in corp 7 days, and no-one else in the corp has conflicting standings. After downtime, everyone else can rejoin, and the corp has a further 7 days in which to anchor towers in G/M space (or until G/M leaves, whichever is sooner).

If you have been doing Gallente missions and killed Caldari or Amarr forces - remember those pretty dog tags? - your netagive standings will kick in.
And its your unmodified standings that apply, not the ones after social skills.

I don't see how you can get above 5 standings (unmodified) with a faction without the opposing faction dropping to around -2 (unmodified).
So even if you use two characters and only cared about two opposing factions you have

To change the topic slightly, consider the following scenario:This toon, my main, is beloved by Gallente and Minmatar (well, almost. 4.75) and my alt has very low standings to everyone. Not negative, just low. If I were to incorporate with my main, my standings would eventually rise to levels sufficient to allow the corp to anchor in high-sec. Inviting the unloved alt, though, would lower the corp standings and leave me unable to anchor any more towers. The anchored ones are cool, I understand.
If I wanted to expand operations, could I kick out the alt, wait for standings to rise back to acceptable levels, anchor the tower, and then re-invite the alt? Seems a bit like 'sploits, but you know.

Kicking people to raise corp standings isn't an exploit, its how it works.
You can make a new corp with one person - people do it and sell this service You can kick people out (have them make jump clones during this time if you plan it) You can have everyone do missions for Faction A till it rises the ocean
Its quicker and easier to do the first 2, easist to do the first. In a large corp almost impossible to do the last
