Hi fellow citizens. What is the case with the Zydrine price atm? It is going to rise in regions which is ridiculus. Are all Deep Space Mining Corps using it for themselves? The only Zydrine available is going to rise up to 5.300 isk/unit. Megacyte and Zydrine are going to get equal.

What is the situation with it? As all must know the production costs will rise significantly because of that. Zydrine is (even at the price of 4.300) the most expensive part of ship, mainly BS, production. Around 1/3 of all costs comes from the Zydrine price. With Tri aiming for the 2.4 i/u mark or Pyr aiming the 7.0 i/u mark, it will get even worse.
One thing is, that the insurance price is not variable, so the higher the costs the lesser the payout will be. I know that greed is everywhere, but when this keeps growing some smaller corps or freelancers will get into trouble sooner or later.
Keep an eye on the market prices folks! I propose that BS prices will be rising like mad. The time will come.
OOC: WouldnŠt it be nice if: - There would be some Region/Galaxy events (automatically by the EVE-Environment), where a Corp tosses out minerals for lower prices. (preferrably via escrow, to avoid market orders...) - U get mineral-rewards for doing Missions at a NPC Mining Corps. (bad ass missions, somewhat rare, possibly like the implant missions, like "Intercept pirate/carebear mineral transport") - What about Meteor Storms in a random system, from time to time, where the belts will be enriched with Bistot/Gneiss/Dark Ochre once. (They should not regrow or repop after SD) Think about the Mining madness/Pirate madness with this happening in 0.3 system. - Occasionally some NPC Mining transports at a Gate in Empire and 0.0 (not just belts, which are even very rare) - ... --------------------------- BS Producer - Mail for orders |

I hunt sanchas BS's day and night, and from reprocesing the loot, I get whole BS's in minerals. The other day I had 2 Apocs in minerals, just from loot.
Problem: There was no Zydrine
I had to buy Zydrine for 50mill to build the Apocs
Dunno if this is just sanshas loot. Large Crystalls, Large Armor repairers and hundreds of Large Smartbombs

you are missing the point a little there bro. The price of minerals is increasing due to rising demand for all minerals. The supply is remaining more or less constant and we know what happens when demand outstrips supply
That said I do like the idea of mineral rewards/loot from NPC agets missions etc.

The problem for the production corps in empire is the hughe amount of alliance wars that are going on in 0.0 space. All corps that are involved in fighting in theese usually uses all their minerals in building ammo and stuff for their self, thats the reason for the high prices

Edited by: Horatio Starkiller on 19/08/2004 14:33:25 Also its because of the tightness of people there so willing to save even 2 mil they'll self-destruct their old Battleship to buy a new one hence driving demand up... it'd be interesting to see how many Battleship are blown up just for the insurance.
Personally I'd like to see a Insurance cap of 90-95% value just so people don't do this.
edit: or take out insurance payment when self destructed completely -----------

Edited by: Carter Burke on 19/08/2004 14:33:33 Sure am glad you wasted my time with this "MUST READ" stuff. Nothing like someone either wildly speculating or pointing out the obvious to go with my coffee.
CB
P.S. Horatio - based on current values of minerals, there aren't any profitable self-destructs among the battleships right now.

You almost got it there buddy but not quite. I'm an alliance member and heres whats happening.
Ok its a loverly day and I say 'hey I got a great idea lets all go mine crokite'
I then take a look in local 'oh dear the those flaming enemy alliance guys again, I guess that means I cant mine.....again'
and the enemy alliance isnt mining either because they are attacking us.
Now when you take into consideration that us alliance guys have massive mining apocs ect to extract all that loverly zydrine and megacyte you start to see the problem.
an apoc with 10 harvies and maxed out mining skills mines quite a bit of crok
50 apocs not mining starts to damage the economy a bit
100 apocs not mining starts to hurt
1000 apocs not mining kiss goodbye to your zyd
anyone who wants to solve this problem should get a candle, come into alliance territory and start singing
'come bye ya my lord.... come bye yaaa' until the war stops form human blockades between the opposing ships If everyone in empire does that we promise we'll stop fighting...... lol we'll be to busy staring in disbeleif lol
*wayz pauses to consider what he may of unleashed*
meh never happen
Wayz: cmon X hurry up I aint got all day! Twisted Xistance: oh yeah lol.... anyway, you have got all day you benefit scrounging jobbless schmoe! Wayz: too chey :) |

So, what are Aliance Members fighting in? Noob Ships They need to build ships also...to support their war effort..and if I am not mistaken...many buy ships out of Empire...So, wouldn't it benefit everyone...if a Cease FIREto push prices down on Zyd and Meg for a month was established....
Then after that month...you could go back to killin each other off...
