Because I just observed a sweet 30-40 man fight in PX-IHN in my cloaky, and when they warped off, I looted 2 fed navy webs, 1725 nanite repair paste and some other random things and got the hell away from there :) |

It is complex enough for me to stay interested and entertained for long periods of time. I can create long term plans and reap their rewards (Or fail to do so if I didn't plan properly) all while being able to settle my 1 month old in one arm or step away every few minutes...hours or even days if needed for RL stuff.
While I don't do PVP, I do not begrudge the presence of PVP players, including suicide gankers and pirates. They keep me on my toes, making sure I plan around that risk and punishing me if I fail to do so. If there was 0% risk, I would eventually get bored and leave.
Being able to pay for my game time with in-game ISK lets me keep my subscription longer than my finances would have normally dictated. I don't make minerals. I just make ore 20% cooler. |

I love Eve because :
- Unlike other MMOs, Eve's actually a game worth the money, the time we spent on the game is an investment.
- Unlike other MMOs, "death" in Eve, is not dumb, you can't just die and respawn somewhere, this aspect of Eve gave me the adrenaline rush when i'm about to "die" in a sense, and the satisfaction of destroying other people's property.
- Eve has a HUGE content, it's so damn huge and complex that i literally have never seen anyone who's an expert of everything in Eve, so imo, content-wise, Eve wins, hands down. I don't know if there are other MMOs out there that has the same or more richness and depth in content compared to Eve.
- Eve is probably the game with the steepest learning curve i've ever known or played so far, which is why it's interesting, for me at least. This promotes interaction with other people, promotes interest and curiousity.
- I've never played a sandbox MMO. This is probably the sole reason why i started playing Eve from the beginning (yes, and the spaceships ofc :p). Eve is my first and hopefully, going to be my last. I like the idea of not have to be bound by 'rules' in terms of gameplay, there are no job nor roles that i have to be stuck with from the start, i get to choose what i want. Although, i'm quite disappointed by the recent interference made by CCP devs and GMs, i get this feeling that the sandbox aspect of the game is getting 'nerfed' bits by bits. I don't know about the other players, but this is a huge letdown for me.
- The community and the game mechanics as a whole. The community aspect of Eve are for more dominant than other games i've ever played so far. Eve is not about how long you've played, how good your ships and skills are, heck, people can buy a character from the bazaar if they want to. Eve is about the interaction and community, how many friends you got, what kind of friends you know, how many enemies you have and so on.

Indeed, this is disappointing ... though with Crucible, Escalation, HAG, Burn Jita, etc... it seems CCP is starting to realize they should really be telling the people whining for "nerf [thing] that's been in the game since the beginning" to HTFU. |

1. Passive skill gaining. This one is a HUGE deal for me, as I can gain skills even if I can't login every day and play for hours. As long as I exercise a little bit of foresight, I continue to make progress in the game.
2. Single server with numerous open markets. The fact that I can make ISK by being the middleman is really appealing to me.
3. Stuff matters and people generally act mature, even the kids (not speaking of chronological age). |

I don't really think I have to explain why this game is so great, what I'll say is that this is the only major MMO in which actual game devs take time to post on the forums and communicate with us. I cannot stress enough how important this is. It goes to show, that you're not making all this stuff just for money, but because you also love the game. And in a weird way it's kind of comforting. ;) |

I love Eve because;
It's worth the money. Scamming!
No other game makes you grip your mouse so hard. (Epic stress going through you when your ship is about to blow)
Scamming!
There is no set path, If I want to shoot you, I can.
I was drawn in with stories of how steep the learning curve was, and after 2 weeks you know your way around, and actually get statisfaction because you're playing.
So yeah, I don't really have words about how great Eve is.....
Honorable mention; Goons! Got to love that they **** people off because they're bored(Or to drive Ice Prices up) |

I like that there's no guard rails or hand holding. Player created content is best content.
I'll just leave this here: So while many ships were destroyed this weekend, it sure feels good to be the hosts of such massive amounts of spaceship carnage. We'll always be prepping for the next big event our players throw at us.

I love it because it takes time to get somewhere but you dont need to spend all of that time ingame. And ofc the space parts :D
I hate the PVP and that according to CCP we, the players, can choose what we do which has never been the case :P when I actually get to fly a t1 carrier without being at risk for pvp then I have been able to make the choice I have wanted for such a long time :D |

I also love Eve because im a collector and a hoarder, and eve is my haven because of that. I can collect millions of things, and there is soooo much to get. Love my Gallente Federation Navy ships! |
