Edited by: Kilostream on 24/03/2009 13:16:32 Hi,
I've just lost about 12 days of skill training with a long skill queued after a short one.
After a bit of head scratching I've figured it's either because I forgot to click "apply" or simply misclicked (I thought I had done it) so the queued skill did not start after the short one finished.
The problem as I see it is that after clicking "apply" I'm not aware of any notification or other form of reference to show that the application of the programmed queue has been successful.
Would it be possible to have either a "application successful" window pop up after clicking apply, or a notification similar to the "1 in training" that runs in your queue window to tell you that the plan queue you're viewing is active or inactive? (or, if I'm an idiot and this already exists, could you tell me where it is!)
Cheers,
Kilo

A confirmation message would be very nice.
I've had the same mistake but fortunately for me it didn't cut off too much training time for me because I logged on a few hours later and noticed nothing had happened.
And I bet you will never let this happen again

I haven't had this problem yet, but after seeing that others have, every time I finish setting up my skills I close, then re-open the skill list and check to make sure I have a skill actually in training (ie the timer is moving and my sp's are increasing).

Edited by: xMishrak on 24/03/2009 15:14:40 I do the same. I also hit apply about 5 different times after I set the skill queue. I want to make sure that darn thing works.

Haha yeah! you're damn right I won't - but the point of the thread was that it's so easily done as there's no clearly visible way of confirming you have activated the plan you put in the queue.
Whilst I personally will not make this mistake again, that's not to say CCP should not look at making it clear that the skills showing on your queue form an "inactive" plan only, or an "active" training schedule.
Also (although I concede this is not CCP's problem) the API seems not to distinguish between active and inactive queues either, as EVEMon will show a queued skill as training even if it is not because "apply" was not pressed.
