totally signed/
as they are at the moment , they are more like shiny light show maker than anything
when it come to fuel bay , about 2000 m3 restricted to liquid ozone and the 4 racial isotope
and the ability to bypass cyno-jammer should have been in the design :)

yeah, personally i think it needs a range change,
and either give it a big fuel bay, that is only useable for fuel of that ship range and LO,
OR
reduce the ammout of fuel CONSIDERABLY and then it only needs a small fuel bay. Also i think jump range should be around 4-5 LY, making it able to bridge between some of the bigger systems, as atm i seem to come accross alot of systems that i can bridge between

Yes, please CCP :( If you have the time to nerf Falcons into oblivion, you have time to give us a fuel bay.

They looked really nice on paper.
I think the biggest problem with them, even bigger than the two issues mentioned here, is that they are so darn expensive. Who the heck wants to bring a gang of these "behind enemy lines?" For their price, instead of bringing two Black Ops, you can bring five fully fitted Ravens and a dozen fully T2 fitted support ships.
Heck, for two Black Ops, you could bring a fully fitted carrier and a really nice support gang. Or you could have 12 HAC's, which would be much more deadly.

Wich leads me to the following question?
Are you taking away the ECM part from the widow?
As you said this in the ECM thread:
Quote: We have been looking at all the ECM ships (Griffin, Kitsune, Blackbird, Falcon, Rook and Scorpion).
You did not mention the Widow...
Answer given in original thread:
Quote: Forgot to mention it would be getting an increase in ECM strength bonus same as the scorpion. Will make a seperate post on black ops themselves.
I will update the original post with these changes in a minute. There is no ETA on when these changes will be on sisi for testing as we are currently testing for Apocrypha 1.02. Some time after that is deployed to TQ, then we will move sisi to a version where you can start to playtest these changes and we will continue to monitor feedback and make more tweaks as needed.

if you mean no fuel bay but covert cyno in jammed system , I dont mind having a hauler to come with me for the fuel .....
If you only mean a fuel bay , well I wont complain cause it definatly need one ^^
Edit: oh and thx for the fast answer :), I was really scared the black ops would get no fixes after Apocrypha and that everything was down the drain

oh yeah, dont hurry. We got plenty of time. Black ops have been in game for only 1 year? In that time i have seen like 1 black ops being used in actual pvp.
If that doesnt define broken then i dont know what does.

Edited by: Nova Fox on 25/03/2009 18:09:23 Fuel bays are being considered for all jump capable ships and they're still playing around with the other 22 odd some jump capable ships in the game. Which is probably causing delay in blacks ops boost.
Cyno opening in jammed systems may be another delaying as it requires some rework to allow them how much recoding not sure. =============

Edited by: Mike C on 25/03/2009 19:05:37 I seem to remember CCP stating that all jumpdrive equipped ships will be getting a fuel bay...
Maybe it was a dream, meh.

Oh and fix the goddamn materials cost for BO/Marauders, I traded my ****ing widow for a chimera! __________________________________________________

Black Ops Love is needed... sooo very badly if anything get rid of the velocity bonus but allow them to warp cloak.... They Really need a practical spot in fleets and it would most likely be a cloaked ganker who uncloaks in groups volleys cloaks up.... I only say this cause their tank isnt stunning so an outright battle may not be viable

The changes to blackops are part of a much larger overall plan for jump capable ships. It's allll part of the plan.

- Range x3 - Black Ops Jump support for any frigate class hull
That is all.
Jumping into cyno-jammed systems is over-powered. There are some alliances that would float entire fleets of these things. Cyno-jammers would become worthless.

black ops are important but ccp is more focused on creating a new ship that costs hundreds of millions with no clear role and a future of long aimless discussions before implementing lackluster changes to create a whole series of new issues to replace the old ones .

I don't see the problem with that. It takes hundreds of battleships to rush a cynojammer and if the defenders are even slightly aware of the attack they'll sustain heavy losses.
With T1 battleships this is an acceptable risk but each individual blackops costs a ton. If an alliance is willing to spend billions on an attack, then it's fine by me.
Covert cynos should always have had the ability to work in jammed systems, as their entire purpose was to covertly deploy forces behind enemy lines. ___________

its ntot overpowered. Would change very little regarding the take over of systems, mostly would allow just some surprise roaming .
If the enemy does not expect you to come attack his jammer you will likely find his gate clear to enter the system most of time. If he expects you he will be ready to take on you.. at gate or where your fleet jumps in.
