I got into probing right after the last expansion, and I'w been doing abit of everything..
I'w done some 7, 8 and 10 / 10 complexes, a coupple of them didnt give me anything but the overseer's effects, something i find abit.. wierd..
Doing a 10/10 DED rated complex with nothing to show for it but the overseers effects.. WTF
Is this normal? or did they nerf the loot tables??

I believe it's random, so you're not guaranteed to get phat lewts everytime you run a plex.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

It's chance based.
I used to get Dread/Pith stuff 1/5 times of a gurista plex... as in the exact same plex 5 times in a row... with no-one else doing it.
With the new system... unknown sigs... it's not possible to guarrenty that you run it everytime.
Additional... this last week I've ran about 7 DED plexes and got over a bill isk worth of faction mods. Only once did I get only Overseer items.

I got a Gistum B-Type Shield Booster in a 5/10 plex the other day, so I think you've just been unlucky.

Anyone know of some decent guides on how to get into doing complex? Are the basic 1/10 and 2/10s that you don't need probing to find worth it? I ran a few but didn't get much....not sure if it was fully re spawned or what not.

Yeah I wouldn't mind taking a look at a guide, I assume there is one somewhere. And trust me, you can play for years and still have newb questions. I didn't run missions at all until recently, which might sound silly to some.

I can confirm crappy droprate on demanding complexes. Spending 5 hours on the initial complex+multiple escalation with nothing to show for it is a bit bitter.
Now im doing wormholes, much better. :)

When i say no loot, I ment no faction / deadspace loot..
Never botherd to chekk all the wrecks from all the npc's
If i wanted to loot the scrubs,I'd rather go npc hunt in the belts, or do missions.
Might just be me, but complex npc's seems to have ****ty salvage (including the overseers allthough they dropp t2 salvage when they dropp something), and most of them doesnt dropp any loot at all.

The reason you don't get any loot is because you're in CandyLand. If you went to Candy Mountain you would get all the loot you'd ever need. Just follow the unicorns.
Also, high-tier overseer's effects are worth a bunch, so even if you didn't get any "HOT LEWTZ", you should have plenty of money to spend. |

Proper DED Complexes don't esculate. They are the static complexes that have been moved to exploration over the years. It's the proper DED sites that drop Complex goodies. The others tend to be faction... which is rarer because the drop rate has to be factored with the faction spawns.

I can disprove this thread right now. Angel 10/10 just dropped 4.5 bil worth of loot for us 12 hours ago.
So it's gotta be luck.

Our corp did 3 x 6/10 and 2 x 8/10 recently (Angel and Sansha). We got no deadspace loot, only overseer items
and low-end faction modules.
Over 1 year ago we did plenty of Sansha plexing in Esoteria and we got deadspace loot from every plex.

Myself and two friends spent 5 hours doing a Gurista complex with 3-4 escalations, nothing to show for it. It's bitter
