I had a skill training to LVL5, and I had been watching it in EVEMON for around a week.
13hrs before the skill was finished I logged in to add another skill to the queue.
When I logged in the skill was still training to LVL5. So I clicked the next skill "Add to Queue"...
The old skill stop training immediately and went back down to LVL4 with 0 points into LVL5. The new skill I added started training immediately!
I tried logging back in, and on a different computer - but all the skill points are gone!
I've filled a petition yesterday, and no reply as of yet. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this - and if so what are the chances of me getting back my half a million lost SP ?

If it really is true, and you havent simply forgot to start a skill - chill, youre gonna get your SP back.
Just give the GMs some time to get to that petition first.

Edited by: La Sciura on 25/03/2009 23:05:25 I had your same issue and after waiting for an answer for more than a week I received a "Ehy I'm the fantabulous senior GM Blahblah, I see you trained it again, is everything in order now?" Good luck. I have just cancelled my 3 subscriptions. CCP doesn't need so many customers.

I did wonder if I was going mad, but as I said - EVEMon showed me training the skill for over 6 days, and when I logged in it was still training it, it's only when I queued up another skill that my SP disappeared.
I tried training the skill again to see if it fixed it, but it started again from IV, so if the GM tells me I've started training it again I'm not going to be best pleased!
It is a rather strange error though, as you would have thought it would be technically impossible for the client to send any command other than being podded with an out of date clone that would cause skill point loss !

If your story is accurate you ought to get your SP back but the GMs are currently under a significantly higher than normal number of petitions due to the Apocrypha release.
It wouldn't surprise me if this were accurate, and repeatable, as I recently had an issue with EVE-Mon and EVE as well. I lost 3 days of training time because EVE-Mon and whatever API calls it uses reported one of my characters as training a skill she was't training. Another character was training heavy drone operation level 5 and EVE-Mon was reporting her as needing another 19 days for it when she only needed 6.
Needless to say the best advice I can give is to take EVE-Mon's reports on your character status with a grain of salt because the Apocrypha release has introduced a few glitches into the system. ____________________

go same problem here and its not only annoying its just like ........ wtf no comment ... ccp should have never thought about a skill queue anyways... im trying to avoid using it but still the skill system just doesnt seem to work anyways atm... this is just *****
i also dont bother writing petitions since its basically too much work and not worth the effort since ccp also doent put effort in what theyre doing... after 5 years and yes i am playing the game for 5 years now ccp should have learned not to put in buggy and 50% done stuff -.-

Same Prob for many people.
But still: YOU WON'T GET YOUR SP BACK. Yes, you heard it right. GMs dont reimburse any losses dueto the skill queue.
