I got a couple of questions
1. Is there any way to see remotely what you have in your containers spread out across a system and where those containers are aside from bookmarking each one?
2. In the items hangar at a station, is there a way to create folders for - ORE - WEAPONS - UPGRADES etc, so I dont have a zillion items all cluttered together in the same spot.
3. Can I tractor containers from place to place and warp trailing a container?

There are some 3rd party programs that let you look inside cargo containers, however you have to BM a can in space if you want to get back to it agian.
There is no way to create tabs for personal hangers. A lot of people will use station containers to organise their items. Though you then run into problems of searching what you have where using the ingame search.
You cant tractor things in warp, as soon as you get into warp you lose lock and the container is left behind.
Some program names you can search for: eve asset manager, eve meep, evehq, eve offline. I think those are the names of programs that let you search assets.

No, not really. You can save an excell file or something that you update yourself tho.

Use station containers if you have a lot of big stuff (cannons, smartbombs, etc) or normal containers for tiny stuff like bpos, ammo, salvage, etc.
I usually have a couple of containers named High, Med, Low, Important Stuff, Crap, etc :D

IN-game, no. Out of game, there are programs like EvEHQ that'll let you see what's inthem, but if they're not in a station, you have to keep track of where they are yourself. The API doesn't give out location information on containers in space for security reasons.

Use containers for this. There's even a class of container SPECIFICALLY for this reason - Stations Containers and Station Vaults - though they are HUGE, and really intended for corporate hangars. They also cannot be moved from the station they are purchased in...whereas normal containers can be. Which ones you use are up to you.

You can drag a jetcan or container around as long as you are going slower than 500 m/s (the speed of the tractor beam). You can't warp with one tractored - warping breaks all locks.
Hope that helps.

Actually, the first part of the answer isn't entirely true. There is one way to see inside cans in a remote station. (This is referring to cans you have in your inventory rather than jet cans like at a belt)
Go to your assets list and right click the can. Create a contract to a friend or alt (doesn't matter what type of contract) and go a couple pages into the contract and it will list everything inside the can. Make a note of the contents as required and then just abort creating the contract. "Boo hoo. Cry some more." CCP Whisper

Lol.. I didn't say it was a simple method, simply that it exists. I generally use Eve-meep for everything like this. "Boo hoo. Cry some more." CCP Whisper
