I usually don't pay attention while things update but an installation file on the new patch caught my eye as it flashed across the installation screen:
resDX9JoveSentryDrydock.stuff
looks like there's a built in model and or texture for at least one Jove ship. What do you all think this means?

yeah theres always been jove stuff you occasionaly see devs flying jove **** around so nothing new really.

Yeah, I figured but do the devs fly around on Tranquility where this patch is aimed or on a test server?

There is a whole section of space which is filled with jove crap that is totally inaccessible by us players. This is probably where the jove assets appear.

there is a way of rendering ingame assets, but I can't remember how :(
Maybeh someone out there can do the do's?

A long, long, long time ago there was a way to get to Jove space but it meant committing the ultimate sin...

There seems to be a drydock model/texture for every race.
Anyone know what the Drydocks are for?

the dry dock is a miscoined term, but its the unhacthed pernament outposts deployed by allainces.

I can't remember any details, but if I remember correctly, a Jove representative visited a bunch of the 0.0 alliances on TQ a few years back, flying a Jove Battleship. (Think he even had a small escort of Jove ships with him.)
Wasn't there myself, but I watched it on my brothers computer when he came to visit Stain.

His name was TomB and there's footage on youtube. Look for TomB and Jove Battleship.
