Indeed. I biomassed one of my crappier skilled trade alts and am now just finishing up the business tutorial with only the industry left. Props to CCP for making the combat tutorial missions really cool. The hint to leave empire and go out to 0.0 space to run pirate missions made me lol. So all in all even before I head out to start the epic mission arc I have a couple of million isk, tons of basic skills, 3 fitted frigates and an indy to haul it all around in from the mission rewards alone. And this was all from the first day of playing. Add in the total win of the skill queue so I can set all those new skills to be training after I go log off for real life or to go to bed and we should see epic numbers of players sticking around. Matter of fact I think I'll take that pirates offer up to go run missions for him. Whats to lose really but boredom?

only thing that I'd suggest could do with improving is that there isn't a tutorial for capacitor use. (Or at least, I couldn't see one)
Throw in energy systems operation or energy management into one of those explaining the capacitor, and the Amarr tutorials anyway would be complete.
Tutorials give you a Punisher, some layz0rs, armour repairer, afterburner, damage control. Stasis web too. Throw a cap relay or cap charger on that, and it's all you need to get started.

OP: go die in a fire...I mean biomass....
The new system is great. no more "dead end skills" for newbies. I wished I had a 100% boost when I started. And I figur the tutotial is great, too, but Im not sre what they changed becaus I did it only once ^^

As you can all see this is a fairly new char a alt even. I make it its to simple to create now. Took me less than 1min to make. here is the thing even if i did wonder why i didin't get to pick skills before i logged it in. I had no idea what they ment by that but ok.
here is the alts or new guys start with 56k sp... and like 12 skills. ok ... this i dont get what kind of a " smart " person from ccp thought that would be a good idea. See now even with the 100% boost its gonna take minimum of 2-3weeks to get it to 1.6m if not more it might take little less time i dont know i dont care. Thing is how does it go from after beta when we had less than 100k when we started then annoyingly enough they boosted it to 800k than back to 56k... i mean comon... Not only is it bad for new players as well us that have been playing longer. Worse for new ppl as its the isk they need to spend for all those new skills. As well pausing training on our main chars for 2-3 weeks so our " alts " can train like basic skills to use a cyno or something along those lines.
Why not just make it like super easy for new ppl and instead of having 100% boost why not just like insta train... it would make them pretty happy, us older guys pretty happy and eve would be a better place. Maby i am wrong maby this new this is awsome 100% boost is the bestso a new player in his noob ship can work his behind of with his 15 skills and 60k sp for the next 5-6 weeks just so he can afford skills...
I honestly have no clue what ccp are actually thinking considering how eve is a carebear world these days they do their bidding in 95% cases anyways. So why not change this ?
Anyways i let you ppl think about it. i gotta keep training my alt for alteast 5days now so he can run a corp ...
My main in 2004 started with 45k sp and 5 skills we didnt have 100% training speed bonus either, what you moaning about?

since it's obviously fairly easy to a. tell if another character on that account is training something and b. apply a % modifier to training speed, i honestly don't see why CCP won't let us have concurrent training between characters on the same account.
training 2 characters at 50% speed or 3 characters at 33.3% doesn't have any advantage over the training one character, stopping it, going to the other character and setting that character training.

Why spend development time on something which offers no advantage? -
