I am currently running this setup:
4x Amarr Navy Tachyon Beam Laser (Amarr Navy Multifrequency L) 2x Corpum A-Type Medium Nosferatu
X-Large C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I Shadow Serpentis Tracking Computer Heat Dissipation Field II Photon Scattering Field II Invulnerability Field II 2x Cap Recharger II
3x Amarr Navy Heat Sink Damage Control II True Sansha Power Diagnostic System
3x Capacitor Control Circuit I
5x Hammerhead II 5x Hobgoblin II
Now in my quest to find a more cap friendly build for this beast I've looked into this build:
4x Amarr Navy Tachyon Beam Laser (Amarr Navy Multifrequency L) 2x Corpum A-Type Medium Nosferatu
X-Large C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I Shadow Serpentis Tracking Computer Heat Dissipation Field II Photon Scattering Field II Invulnerability Field II Medium Capacitor Booster II (Cap Booster 800) Large Capacitor Battery II
3x Amarr Navy Heat Sink Damage Control II True Sansha Power Diagnostic System
3x Semiconductor Memory Cell I
5x Hammerhead II 5x Hobgoblin II
Now what I want to know which one is better for cap stability and logevity?

A cap booster almost always gives you more staying power than a regen setup, unless the latter is cap stable, so if the question is only about which will hold out better in your mission, it's probably the cap boosted setup. However, that requires you to constantly use cap charges and keep them in your inventory, which most consider a PITA.
If you really want cap stability on a Nightmare, you're going to have to look to either really expensive boosters or downsizing the boosters. You might look into something like this if you have to have cap stability, and a set of HG crystals will really go a long way with such a setup. I personally prefer more utility (TC, AB, even perhaps a locus II), but there's something to be said for a cap stable boat.

Edited by: Arishon on 27/03/2009 16:52:53 I guess my actual question was if stacking my cap capacity would be better then trying to drag my cap regen up..
Edit: whoops wrong char

There are benefits to each. Adding cap will increase regen to a degree since the time remains the same but you're regenning more points. But pure regen will really trim time off you downtime. A combination of both isn't terrible.
