And it rightfully shouldn't happen.... right now there are two options that each have their advantage and their disadvantage. The nice thing is that these are perfectly complimentary: the disadvantage of one option is the advantage of the other and vice versa. You can't have it any clearer then that.
Anyway, if people would ask and get WTZ on autopilot, why don't they go one step further and ask to simply be placed in the other station without having to undock, warp and jump all together? It saves time, it's easy, less risk so why not?

I only auto when I'm reading something, searching for something in market/contracts, etc. but wtz when nothing is happening. All depends on what the person is doing honestly.

No, using wtz through low-sec "shorter" route is so much quick than turning on autopilot and going afk to make a cup of tea for 2 hours while I pretend to do other stuff but really I have one eye on my screen to check im not being ganked by a hisec campernoob.

if there is enough lag after you enter a system you can issue a WTZ command before the autopilot warps

Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
