Edited by: Fouljin on 30/03/2009 09:58:37 First, It would called "Eve the movie: When angels hit the fan" Second, director would be Uwe Boll. Cast would be Ronn Moss, Jason Patric, Paris Hilton, Jenna Haze, Ron Jeremy and Til Schweiger.
Plot would be: Ancient machine race called angels attack earth and last hope of humanity is 5 brave pilots. Movie would be abotu 1h 23minutes filled with non-stop action, big explosions and lot's of boobies. There would also be ending climax with 5 minutes cgi-animation where one battleship of humans kick's Angels ass. Rest of the movie would happen in some small lake island in northern Canada. A lot of people say an EVE Movie wouldn't work. I tend to disagree. There is TONNES of material in the backstory that could be adapted and buildt upon. Or for that matter Empyrian Age could be made into a movie.
Granted, it wouldn't be the EVE players interact with on a daily basis, but an EVE Movie nonetheless. ---

This. There hasn't been a really good Sci-Fi movie in the last time. EVE stuff could truely rock (think about Sunshine or Event Horizon) with design and the whole backstory.

Plot summary: Details the story of two spies working at cross purposes (think Infernal Affairs/The Departed) and covers the disbanding of BoB, of course game mechanics make for a bad plot device so instead it would have to be an assassination plot. Goons would be portrayed as the rag-tag rebel alliance and BoB would be portrayed as the evil imperial alliance. Setting would be mostly in stations. Basically think the entire scene list of "Infernal Affairs" set in EVE.
The Mittani (goon handler): Robert Redford SirMolle (the guy who gets assassinated leading to the disbanding of the empire, also the empire handler): Al Pacino Haggarth (the goon spy): Kevin Spacey Chainsaw Plankton (the bob spy): Edward Norton
Director: Andrew Lau Wai-Keung

I dont think Ive ever seen a good BBC made scifi show. They are a tad bit worse than SciFi channel originals. Instead, WB should make it, Joss Whedon should write and direct it, and the plot should be about a courier/smuggling ship which has an eclectic crew. Nathon Fillon should star. And it should be called Firefly and get canceled after 10 eps.
Or something similar, but on HBO where they can actually do stuff.

Anyone but the BBC. They would simply make a low budget piece of garbage that would do more to kill off the game than it would to promote it. It would probably be along similar lines to Red Dwarf with low budget props, lots of talking and very little action.

there is a special corner of hell reserved for people who dont respcet how importent red dwarf / blakes 7 / dr who / etc. was in expanding the meaning and scope of si-fi as a media for a genre rather then simply as a genre in itself.

HBO would be best choice for this
Plot would be easy, since the intitial film would be used to draw none EVE players into teh EVE universe in order to start a franchise (if its a massive hit then you can make another )
Therefore the plot of the first EVE would be based on a newly risen Capsuleer
Obv the Intro to the game could be the EVE intro (destruction of new eden gates, the fall of mankind and the rise of the empires)
Have the hero start out in a lowly frigate, develop his char as a character with a heart, runs missions etc then suddenly receives a distress call, diverting he attends and finds Sister of Eve freighter under attack, he fights off the rats and saves teh ship
then prgress the plot from there, culminating in an EPIC battle between the empires against a massive legion of Rats resulting in epic BOOM BOOM and PEW PEW
also be the first to do Ambulation on a station hehe

Plot û The eve gate suddenly closes, trapping the sole ship to have passed through into New Eden, an Exhumer. Fast Forward several hundred thousand years, Eve is now populated by the descendants of the 4 crew members of the Exhumer- all mining..and mining..and mining. Directed by Doug Naylor (with Chris Barrie as the Ammar).

I'd like to see a more serious animated epic. Maybe with stories regarding the eve gate collapse, the amarr takeover, the minnie uprising/jove ammar war, the gall / cal split and the wormhole and sleeper encounters. Then if that is successful have another series dedicated to the Pirates(YAAAAAR). Of course it's all only worth it if goes RATED R, anything rated below and it would be crap.

It would be a movie with no sound.
Half the actors won't do what they're told. Most of these won't leave the safety of their trailer.
The other half sit around drinking coffee and ignoring everything going around them.
The movie starts in the middle of whatever plot with no explanation.
