Although the honey-badger is only very distantly related to the european badger.
Anyway. All species of the mustelidae family are utterly vicious.
Badgers, Skunks, Wolverines, weasels, ferrets and, my personal favorite, the Marten.
The European pine marten weighs less than 4lbs and generally preys on frogs, birds and stuff like that. However there are several occasions when martens have taken down full grown Red deer.

that poor snake climbed at the very top of the tree and still got eaten
but then, if you were having a littler of cubs every few months I'm sure you'd be eating venomous snakes too, and anything else that moves for that matter ...

It probably wasn't the bite that caused the problem - honey badgers have extremely tough skin - I suspect it was more the fact that it ate most of the snake's head, presumably including the venom glands.
I've heard about these before - I guessed what animal it was going to be from the thread title alone - but it's the first time I've seen a video of them. I'm impressed.
