This would be similar to a general freight container with a twist, it allows assembled ships (and only assembled ships) inside, just like a Ship Main Bay. The container would be 280km3, and would hold 240km3 (just enough for 1 assembled BC)
Perhaps also a Large Ship Container, with a volume of 600km3, and a capacity of 520km3 (just enough for an assembled BS).
Thoughts?

So, another thread asking for freighters to haul assembled BS/BC
No. If you can't handle having to manually move ships around, get a carrier, or don't rig/insure your ships...Or just fly smaller ships that can fit in an Orca.
Mobility is basically the only advantage of small ships, and that applies to strategic (Not just tactical) mobility

I don't have a problem with moving rigged ships. A lot of people do, and I was offering up a possible suggestion. Besides, all of the containers have a "wasted space" penalty. And seriously, you can say a freighter can get a 120km3 box into it's hold but an assembled frigate that 18k m3 is too much? that DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. So these specially designed containers will allow you to properly secure a ship, and cost you some of your hauling space to get the job done.

Except that doesn't change the fact that it lets you transport rigged ships in a ship that wasn't designed to transport rigged ships. There are plenty of reasons why you wouldn't be able to fit a rigged ship into a cargo bay, so I'm not going to bother explaining them..but there's absolutely no gameplay reason why large ships should have the strategic mobility disadvantage removed.

It's a decent idea. There's no real reason a freighter can't transport assembled ships. Well other then CCP probably can't figure out how to program it.

I think this is a pretty good idea tbh, penalize the gargo using the planc containers, and allow transport of the ships, tbh it doesnt sound like it needs to be a much different system than the couriers, you can shove rigged cruisers and below into couriers and move them that way.

Living up to your name, uh?
Kahega is right on it. Rigs are luxury goods. Pull them out or fly manualy. Or don't rig the ship and be flexible.
CCP limited the ability to transport assembled ships purpose.
